This post deals briefly with the promised, prophetic kingdom of Israel.

[2Samuel 3:10 KJV] 10 To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.........there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David.

[2Samuel 5:3-4 KJV] 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel. 4 David [was] thirty years old when he began to reign, [and] he reigned forty years..........David was made king over Israel.

God said that the throne of his kingdom would be established forever............[1Kings 9:5 KJV] 5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
[1Chronicles 22:10 KJV] 10 He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I [will be] his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

The Lord Jesus Christ will reign upon the throne of David over his kingdom..............[Isaiah 9:7 KJV] 7 Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

[Mark 11:7, 9-10 KJV] 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. ... 9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 10 Blessed [be] the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest............Jesus presented himself to Israel. In verse 10 the crowd acknowledged that the kingdom of David was to be realized with the Lord Jesus.

[Acts 1:6 KJV] 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?............Not only the crowds who saw Jesus on the colt anticipated the coming kingdom on earth, but the disciples did as well.

Scripture speaks of the establishment of the kingdom on earth. The kingdom hasn't come, but it will be established.

Israel, including the disciples knew there would be a kingdom for them.

The body of Christ has not been promised an earthly kingdom, but rather a heavenly kingdom........[2Timothy 4:18 KJV] 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

When we think that the literal reading of the Old Testament is the standard through which we should judge the New Testament teachings, we end up in various "well, in the future", because it does not correspond with the current reality.

Nowhere in the whole Bible it is said that Israel and Jerusalem will be judged and destroyed in the coming of Christ and left without any prophets, temple or directions for 2,000 years and then they will get some kind of eternal earthly kingdom. It is just a modern eschatological construction put together from various pieces like a Lego.

All of Israel, including the disciples knew there would be a kingdom for them
Sorry but you have over simplified a complicated issue.
Yes All Israel was looking for a Messiah who would restore a kingdom of Israel, but Jesus was not that messiah.
As he told Pilat, his kingdom was not of this world,

All Israel was not looking for a spiritual kingdom!

What Doug is presenting is a FALSE doctrine of man called Dispensationalism. John Nelson Darby in 1830's Great Britain was who began the doctrine of separation between a literal restoration of the kingdom of Israel on earth vs. a heavenly kingdom for the Church in Heaven. Later Dispensationalists then came up with another FALSE doctrine with the creation of TWO Gospels, one for what Paul preached and another for what Peter preached. Reality is there is only ONE Gospel, but different administrations of that ONE Gospel. Yet their reason for pushing that idea is to try and drum up more support for their false division of Christ's future Kingdom that will be here on earth, and is to include His Church.

Rev 20:7-9
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
KJV

The above is for after Christ's "thousand years" reign with His elect, on earth, and Satan is loosed to go tempt the unsaved nations one final time. WHY.. then does Satan go after those at that "camp of the saints" on earth IF Christ's Church is in Heaven?

What The Bible actually teaches about Christ's Kingdom one must study their Old Testament history to know. Many don't study their Bible enough, including many preachers.

Back in Solomon's days, God divided old Israel into 2 separate kingdoms and peoples. He promised He would always leave "one tribe" at Jerusalem for Jerusalem's sake, and for David's sake. That is who the Jews are, made up of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, called the "house of Judah". But God then gave ten tribes to one born of the tribe of Ephraim over the northern ten tribe "kingdom of Israel", also that began to be called the "house of Israel." In other words, the name ISRAEL went with the largest number of tribes, the northern ten tribes. These TWO groups were then later separated, scattered separately among the Gentiles.

The ten tribe "house of Israel" was scattered out of the holy lands first. They would receive The Gospel of Jesus Christ while the "house of Judah" (Jews) rejected Lord Jesus. The ten tribes would be the founders of the western Christian nations, and thus the founders of the modern Christian Church. This is why it is the ten tribes that Jesus pointed to when He said He was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the "house of Israel". The ten lost tribes of Israel along with believing Gentiles would thus become Christ's Church.

But the JEWS of the "house of Judah" at Jerusalem-Judea and those Jews later scattered would in majority remain in the law and spiritually blinded to the Gospel by God's Own Hand, which is where they spiritually are still to this day.

Christ's Church, whose structure on earth was founded by those of the ten tribe "house of Israel", is Bible prophecy, not speculation. Its main structure is 'spiritual' though, about a Kingdom of The Spirit, since Lord Jesus has not yet returned to reign upon David's throne.

Yet God has Promised that He will establish a LITERAL PHYSICAL Kingdom of Israel ON EARTH, that Lord Jesus and His elect will reign over. It's just not yet time for that regeneration today, not until Jesus returns. Christ's Heavenly Kingdom of Israel will be HERE, UPON THIS EARTH. That will be so because with the New Heavens and a new earth, the Heavenly dimension is going to be revealed RIGHT HERE ON EARTH, both the earthly and heavenly put back together, because our Heavenly Father Himself once dwelt upon this earth, and He said He made the earth to be inhabited, lived upon.

No, He did not. It is just your individual interpretation of something you read somewhere.

The body of Christ is raptured and in the heavenly places.

The camp consists of believing Israel

There's evidence that Darby actually got some of the pre-trib rapture ideas he preached from the Edward Irving church, which Darby later disassociated himself with. And Darby did preach the false separation between the kingdom of Israel and the Church in Christ's future Kingdom. That was part of Darby's brand of Dispensationalism. So when speaking of Darby, one cannot just say he was preaching the simple ideas of the various Bible dispensations.

No, you're preaching Darby's false dispensationalism with the above. And it's because you don't understand about the heavenly dimension in that future time after Christ's future return and reign.

The camp consists of believing Israel

That "camp of the saints" on earth per Rev.20 is about Christ and His elect who reign from Jerusalem ON EARTH for the "thousand years". That is given in more detail in the Old Testament prophets, like the Book of Ezekiel. When Lord Jesus returns, He is coming to EARTH to sit upon His inherited throne, the throne of David, which is an EARTHLY THRONE.

But the heavenly dimension is going to be revealed right here ON EARTH. So why don't you heed what Apostle Paul taught about the 'change' on the "last trump" to the "spiritual body" on the day of Christ's future return? That future spirit body of the world to come is how all will see Jesus coming in the clouds, and also will see The Father on His Throne per the 6th Seal.
