Hi there!
So this is something that is going to be more and more popular over time: to see Jesus. As our differences are realised for what they are and how we are relating to God based on them, the need to commit to what we think Jesus means, will grow evert stronger too. It won't be a matter of starting from a position of strength, as if this or that scripture lays out what we are to do, but coming to know what to do about scripture until a position of strength develops. What are we supposed to do with scripture? Include it, in our daily lives. The more we hold fast to growing revelation, the more that revelation will reflect what we have learned of Jesus through the Bible. Our days will strengthen each other and our resistance to the Devil will grow.
The power of growing to see Jesus more and more, will gather the end in us. Everyone has it to some degree, but if we are like the Holy Spirit, it will become a vision we cannot ignore. If all of us (we believers) have similar visions of Jesus, the Witness to the world will be unmistakable. It is not something that comes and goes, it continually grows. Some are left out of the vision, someone a stationed in place where the vision grows, some are included more and more in the vision. That is the meaning of the scripture Jesus gave, that certain ones would be taken, while others would be left. You do not need to include everyone, for the vision (of Jesus) to be true - you don't need to include the Devil, for example -, but the Holy Spirit is already established in the Heavenlies, to carry as many forward as He can do (He is with us, as Jesus said, He will be in us, as Jesus has revealed in His vision of Himself). The end cannot eclipse any one that is committed to the Lord, with their life - their life bears out, that they want more of the End, for the sake of Jesus in their lives.
Neither do you need to approach the end, for the end is within us. What we are mindful of, is taking what we have of the end, to the end (of the end). This is executing the vision of Jesus, to a "t". It empowers us, to use certain scriptures and not others, to effect change in the Holy Spirit, which our servitude to the Lord bears out in Witness and in Testimony. The point is, we are not reneging on the flesh, only to take it up again, we are putting the flesh off, that the space left behind by it, can be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants this work, because it is His intention that everyone see Jesus. He does not condemn us if we don't, but He sees Jesus (and cannot hide it). This is gradually going to change all of us. All of us are going to gradually see more and more of the end: that is the End.
As our memories change and our strength begins to be more and more conformed to the image of Christ - as we continue to approach more of the end - so the Devil will be more and more cast out and his army of fallen angels will be divided and scattered. The Devil cannot destroy the end, not once it is in your heart (and it is in your heart, if you continue to want more of the end). Therefore the Devil can only flee more and more. There is a lesson in this: the Devil does not make the Cross of Jesus Christ more and more evident, but the Holy Spirit does (and He does with Vision). This is the limit we all face, but it is presented as a gradually growing Revelation. This is a Revelation we all should have. If we can understand that it will have given us power, throughout our lives, then the end will have grown on us. It is something to pray for!
I hope this has been of some encouragement, that the Holy Spirit is working to a plan that will reveal Jesus, day by day - He does not fear the End.
God bless.
