This thread is not about me or who I'm voting for. But since you asked: The economy in a shambles. Riots are happening with Trump encouraging his supporters to go join the frays, making the protests even worse. The national debt is at a record high -- spending was out of control before the pandemic hit -- it's really out of control now. China now has a bigger navy than we do. We are losing friends and influence around the world. His followers seem angry about everything -- they weren't even happy when he won because he kept stirring up controversy. Our government is really broke since Trump is slow to make appointments, sometimes doesn't care if posts are vacant or not -- thus the FEC is powerless. He has also undermined the trust of the American people in our government -- hoping, I guess, that we trust only him.

I am registered Libertarian, but I don't know who I'm voting for yet. It won't be Trump however.

If you're interested in Communism, ask yourself why Putin prefers Trump over Biden. National intelligence said as much; and now we see Russians have tried to interfere again with our elections to hurt Biden. Putin knows how to outsmart Trump, that's why Putin wants Trump reelected. Then he can continue to put the pressure on our allies in Europe to do what he wants. Our NATO allies are not apt to say or do much about Belorus because they're afraid to offend Russia, and they know Trump wouldn't stand behind them if they took a stand. The President of the USA used to be the leader of the free world -- he isn't now -- he can't even lead his own country because he too busy insulting other people -- he even insults and fires good people he hired if they don't agree 100% with everything he says.

As someone who owns stocks, I don't care for some of the things Trump has done and some things he's failed to do. I disapproved of how he eased some regulations on businesses. Capitalism should be investing money -- now it's borrowing money to invest, and if something goes wrong, you go bankrupt. Our businesses were heavily in debt when the pandemic hit. So they needed a big bailout. No one wanted to buy bonds from American corporations -- they are already heavily in debt and interest rates are extremely low -- so Trump's administration was buying corporate bonds -- which may or may not get paid back.

I'm very discouraged to see how China's economy is recovering faster than ours. It's almost as if he says he's against China but then does things to help them. He's completely silent about the slave labor in China where the Uighurs are in concentration camps -- how can American business compete against slave labor? They can't.

How can Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific nations stand up against China? Trump pulled us out of the Pacific trade agreement, basically stranding them, leaving them to fend for themselves. It works out nicely for China, though. Africa is worse too -- with China gaining influence there.

China and Russia are getting aggressive militarily too -- Russians just attacked American forces in Syria -- and I didn't hear a peep about it from Trump. As we lose influence in the Middle East, Russia is increasing theirs. There are times when I ask myself if Putin does have blackmail on him -- since so many things he does helps Russia. Two of his wives came from Communist countries -- what's that about?

Trump is basically trying to hang on to get elected; and some of his policies will backfire. Take his rent program. Do you seriously think that people who can't afford their rent now will be able to pay all their back rent in 2021? Do you think people who have bigger pay checks now because Social Security isn't being deducted will be able to pay that all back in 2021 without feeling a pinch? He's kicking the can down the road -- hoping people who don't have to pay rent now or who get bigger paychecks now will vote for him and forget they're going to pay back the money. I own stock in a company that deals with rental properties -- it could go bankrupt because Trump wants renters to vote for him while he's doing nothing for landlords who aren't getting rent payments -- and they may owe money to banks which would mean financial losses for the banks too.

Trump repeatedly noted the shooting remained under investigation but also appeared to lean into Rittenhouse's self-defense argument.

What was he doing there in the first place? Trying to act like a cop? If the leftists want to protest, does that mean a right winger should get a gun and go to counterprotest? Then Rittenhouse panicked. Uh, he shouldn't have been there; but Trump is encouraging his supporters to be on the streets. Now one has gotten killed, trying to play cop.

Why would Trump want his supporters to put themselves in danger like that? Why not tell them to let the police do their jobs instead of making the job of the police harder?
