Revelation 22:12
[ Jesus Testifies to the Churches ] “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

God doesn't pick favorites. It says he is not a respecter of persons, that goes for Christians too! If we are faithful, he rewards us. The reward is HIM! We get to share in his glory.

Romans 8:17
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Jesus isn't glorified when we do good? How perverted Robbie.

Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Rewards has nothing to do with salvation... your false teacher has taught you falsely....

And yeah... I'm sharing in his sufferings by trying to talk to people who reject Him as the way to salvation...

Hey Prentis... guess what... you can't save anyone... not even yourselves...

Does that make you mad... that God is God and you're nothing without Him?

That Christ is salvation and you're not saved except by Him.

Does it hurt your ego that unless you're covered by His blood you're just a worthless sinner?

Does that hurt your pride?

You need help Robbie. Prentis has shown himself to be humble and God seeking. Just the opposite of what you have shown here.

Yeah... it's so humble to deny Christ the glory He deserves as being the only way to salvation... to deny that there's no salvation apart from His blood... and then to go onto say that you're going to make Christ's blood good enough by your works... are you kidding me? You're seriously clueless... and to make it worst you think you have it all figured out... you are darkness telling itself that it's light... and then perpetuating that darkness... you need to fear God and repent from living in sin more than anyone... and your sin.... it's the snare of the devil.. it's pride... that the God of this world has blinded you with.

Yes. :)

God is not partial. If a man would choose to walk in his way, he will have the reward.

I think the OT differs from your option. God appears very partial. Moses could talk with God face to face - others couldn't even touch the Ark without dropping dead.

1 John 3:3 (NKJV)
3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Titus 2:11-12 (NKJV)
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

Hi Robbie,

As you know, I am Catholic. One of the teachings of my church - one that I embrace, is our participation in our sanctification - which is why I am always saying we need to practice our sanctification by loving God and our neighbor. Justification and sanctification are both necessary for us to be "saved" or to become true citizens of Heaven. I truly believe this teaching and I consider you a brother - yet my belief is close to Prentis' belief - I hope we are we can all drop the doctrinal disagreements and realize we are all brothers and sisters in Christ!

Yeah... man made religion always points the glory back at man...

And if it's about sanctification by works... who do you know that's reached perfection?

Please don't say the pope... haha

You seem pretty worked up at the moment from some intense conversation.......perhaps we should be cautious in our conversation.

No one but Christ was perfect on Earth - all others need their whole lives - every second given to them to practice what Christ speaks to their hearts. Loving perfectly can not happen before death.

[sup]34[/sup] Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. [sup]35[/sup] But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

Whoever comes close to God, God will come close to. I don't think that's partiality.

What also makes that right is that the one who receives more of God is accountable for more. :)

I just want you to know, aspen, that I'm not holding anything or whatever against anyone. I got too worked up over this at some point, but now I'm taking it all with a grain of salt. ;) I hope you're doing alright, brother!

I do though, think this is important.

Aspen... I'm worked up about Prentis and others spreading the leaven of the pharisees which is hypocrisy... by denying Christ the glory He deserves... and speaking against Him being the way to salvation... yep... that pisses me off... it's leading humanity astray... it's hindering those who are entering in... so yep... I'm pretty pissed... Jesus was pissed about the same self righteous nonsense... but since you also think it's about your righteousness... you won't get it either... since you also are denying Christ the glory He deserves...

If you keep on reading Prentis... it goes on to say that what God has cleansed we must not call unclean... had those gentiles perfected their works? Is that what made them clean? Or were they called clean because God called them clean because they had accepted Christ as savior?

They were called clean in a moment and Peter was told not to call them unclean... once accepting Christ they were cleansed... it obviously wasn't about works since they had no time to work...

But according to your false gospel... you do work and work and work and you still don't have assurance of being called clean in the sight of God because it's about your righteousness and not His...

You're spreading lies form the pit of hell...

You say God bless you Robbie... and then you tell me Christ isn't enough for me to be saved... that's the opposite of blessing me... that's trying to deceive me... while denying the greatest blessing God has ever offered humanity.... righteousness by His Son... so actually God has already blessed me... and you try and convince me not to believe in that blessing... so no dude... you're blessing is nothing but deception disguised with a kissssssssssss...

All prentis is trying to highlight is that, aside from faith, living by Gods righteousness is what brings us into Gods approval and therefore in line for salvation. However, you are saying that righteousness has nothing to do with it. Well you are wrong. A person who has accepted Jesus sacrifice must also desist from practicing willful sin and wrongdoing. And if we dont, then we are showing contempt for the value of Christs blood:

Hebrews 10:26 For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but [there is] a certain fearful expectation of judgment and [there is] a fiery jealousy that is going to consume those in opposition. 28 Any man that has disregarded the law of Moses dies without compassion, upon the testimony of two or three. 29 Of how much more severe a punishment, do YOU think, will the man be counted worthy who has trampled upon the Son of God and who has esteemed as of ordinary value the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has outraged the spirit of undeserved kindness with contempt?
So living in harmony with Christ means to live by Gods standards and his laws and requirements. If we dont, then we must not respect Christ or God at all.
