How to best follow Jesus.
First step..
Start by Trusting in Christ, so that you can be forgiven all your sin.......and God will give you "the Gift of Salvation" that is to become "made righteous".......for eternity.
And now being "made righteous".... the 2nd step is to "work out your Salvation" that God just gave you becaue you gave God your Faith in Christ.
So, now having Eternal Salvation.......you are become a Disiple., and you are to "work out your salvation".
Working out your Salvation....This is the most important step you will ever take as a new Believer or as any Believer.........and that is to understand God's "GIFT of Salvation"., which is "The Gift of Righteousness".
See, if you never understand that God has made you righteous forever, as a "new Creation" "in Christ" then once you mess up a few times, over time......you will begin to be concerned about losing salvation, and that will park your Christianity DEAD into Legalism, and it'll stay there and you will never grow in God's Grace, and you will not be able to understand the bible as "rightly dividing" = spiritual discernent, because your mind is wrong.
Ephesians 4 says you have to get your mind right. (renewed).
Paul says of the one with the wrong mind......that they are '"In the flesh" and "no longer obey the Truth"......yet still a Christian.
Just a ruined one.
Understand, that a believer born again, can have wrong faith, broken faith, or Right faith.
Wrong faith, that turns into Broken faith is the evolution of wrong faith that ends up as you no longer believing that Christ keeps you saved.
So, you start trying to do it, by works of self effort that you will call "obedience" or "abiding" or "keeping commandments".
So, once you are stuck there in your broken faith, its difficult to go back to the "simplicity that is in Christ" whereby, all your Trust is placed in Jesus alone to keep you saved.
So, How do you stop the wrong faith that turns into broken faith from happening to you. ??????
Reader, You have to go to Hebrews 13:9,, and read a KJV, and it will tell you to "establish your HEART with Grace". or a Man-Made "doctrine of devils' will get you.....and that is a fact.
See, when you have a wrong understanding of "How do i stay saved" then you have not "established your heart with God's Grace" and that means that your "Helmet of Salvation" = that is the RIGHT FAITH understanding regarding "being made righteous forever" ... is not able to protect your mind and heart from being deceived, and you will be deceived.
So, to """work out your Salvaiton""", is the most important step you will ever take as a Believer, as without the correct understanding of God's Grace, = that you are Made Righteous forever by God's "Gift of Righteousness"... as your REAL FAITH,....then you have no defense agsinst "the wiles of the Devil"....none., because your mind is not protected, and He will bring deceivers to you to deceive you.
Your "Helmet of Salvation" is not on, so, you wont be able to defend against the deception.
You must learn to believe that you are "the righteousness of God, in Christ".....always and forever, being "made righteous" through the Blood of Jesus, and the Grace of God.
So, put on this RIGHT FAITH, that is your Helmet of Salvation, and from there God is able to give you more revelation, and keep you safe, as you exist inside His Amazing Grace.
