Let's take a LOOK-n-SEE

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. 3Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

4When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

5Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. 7Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”

8The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?”

9Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” 11These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.”

12Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” 13However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep.

14Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead.
15And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.”

16Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.”

So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. 18Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about [a]two miles away. 19And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

20Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house.
21Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.
22But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”

23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

25Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life.
He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
26And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

This shows Lazaurus was resurrected before Jesus, and that Jesus does not say he is the first resurrection.

The bible does say Jesus is the Resurrection, but it does not say he is the "first resurrection" because he isn't. The first resurrection is a reference in Rev 20 about the first of two gtroups that resurrect from the dead by Christ. Those of the first resurrection are referred to as THEY, becaue they are a large group not one person.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Question: Is JESUS the Firstfruits unto GOD?

Yes or No answer only please - thank you

Please adjust your thought process so that it lines UP with = "IAM the Resurrection and the Life"

CHRIST Himself is the New Covenant
CHRIST Himself is the First Resurrection unto Eternal Life
CHRIST Himself is the Alpha and the Omega

Yes.

Did Jesus or any other scripture say Jesus is the first resurrection?

Yes or No answer please, thank you.

Lazarus experienced a resurrection before Jesus did.
You do not get it do you?

He did not conquer the grave. He did not overcome death. Jesus did. He was the first.

You are always trying to diminish the first resurrection of Christ.

That’s what I said. Spiritually dead is the condition we are born in. That is the first death. The second death is the death of the body.
Nonsense. The first death is the flesh, just as Hebrews 9:27 states:

Hebrews 9:27 (KJV) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Further, the second death is the spiritual death..Rev 20:6, 20:14, and 21:8 makes that crystal clear.

Revelation 20:6 (KJV)
Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:14 (KJV)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 21:8 (KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

So, as you can see you’re flatly wrong by the scriptures.

You are fighting with Scripture again. The Bible makes it clear that Christ is "the first resurrection" (Acts 26:23 and Revelation 20:6), "the firstborn from the dead" (Colossians 1:18), "the firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Corinthians 15:20), "first begotten of the dead" (Revelation 1:5).
You quote Rev 20:6 out of context, as usual, as your theology denies scripture. No surprise as you also deny Rev 20:6 and its 1000 year reign on earth. You’ll see and learn soon enough, better start taking Jesus at His Word.

Rev 20:4 clearly says who will take part in the First Resurrection: this is precise and explicit post tribulation language.

Revelation 20:4 (KJV) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Those beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast…the same beast who rises in Rev 13…nor worshipped its image, nor took the mark.

So, no the FIRST resurrection of believers has not taken place, it’s a future event and It happens at His coming just as it says in 1 Cor 15:23:

1 Corinthians 15:23 (KJV) But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Yes, Christ Jesus was the first immortal permanent resurrection. A major distinction from the First resurrection event in revelation 20:4-6 of believers.

Christ is not the "first resurrection" found in Revelation 20 but he is why it happens.

Rev 20 speaks of two groups of the dead that resurrect/live again.

The first resurrection is the resurrection of this first group of the dead because they resurrect first. The rest have to wait for their resurrection:

"the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished" (Rev 20:5)

This is the last resurrection of those who are dead. One group resurrected and "the rest" or the remaining ones did not resurrect when the others did.

This proves they partake of the second resurrection also known as the last resurrection because no one is still physically dead after they "live again". This proves without a doubt that there are two separate days of resurrections separated by a thousand years.

The first group resurrects before the thousand years begins and the second/last group resurrects after the end of the thousand years.

Still not completely accurate though, I must say.

The idea that the two types of resurrections are separated by a thousand years is man's supposition based on the flesh. Most pastors today believe the "change" on the "last trump" that Apostle Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 15 is only for those in Christ Jesus, the Church. It is not only for us. It will also be for the "resurrection of damnation" on that same day of Christ's future coming.

Per John 5:28-29, Lord Jesus revealed that BOTH the "resurrection of life", and the "resurrection of damnation" occur on the same day of His coming.

That means we must... look at Revelation 20:5 in a different light than with the flesh.

It means on the day when Jesus returns, everyone, including the wicked, will be in a body of incorruption. The time of this world for man in a flesh body will be over and done with. The future glorious body is not a flesh body, as Apostle Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 15:50. And Paul did say that as we have borne the "image of the earthy", we shall also bear the "image of the heavenly". So, have the wicked borne the "image of the earthy" also? Yes, so also they will have that "image of the heavenly" when Jesus returns, but their MORTAL SOUL is what will still be subject to the "second death" condemnation.

Was Enoch appointed once to die? Was Elijah? Neither one died, so how do you reconcile that with the verse?

We know that it is appointed unto every single person (no exceptions) to come into this world dead in trespasses and sins, which most people would call spiritually dead.

So we can either go with your version and write an exception clause to cover Enoch and Elijah, plus the millions who get raptured if you hold to that. Or we can go with the death that comes first in a person's life and not have to invent exceptions to make it work.

I'm sticking with the latter.

You blather but say nothing of importance. I’ve provided clear explicit scripture against your heresy. Whom are we to believe? Indiana rob or Jesus Himself? Not a hard question at all.

Further, Enoch and Elijah’s flesh most certainly died…ceased to exist and they were translated. Once again, scripture is infallible.

1 Corinthians 15:50 (KJV) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Revelation 20:14 (KJV) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Ditto.

Nope. He is the resurrection, and he is the firstfruits but in Rev 20 the first resurrection is not Jesus, but a group of the saved dead that Jesus raises from the dead.
Look at it from a factual evidentiary forensic application from the Scriptures

Fact A = JESUS "IAM the Resurrection"

Fact B = JESUS died and rose on the 3rd Day

Fact C = JESUS can never die again. HE returned to His Eternal Glory which HE had since Eternity = Revelation chapter 1

Fact D = JESUS is the First Man to be Resurrected unto Eternal Glory/Immortality = the First Resurrection is Defined for us

Fact E = God places all who are Saved in CHRIST = "We are hidden in CHRIST" = "we died with CHRIST and shall also be Raised in CHRIST"

Fact F = JESUS will Resurrect ALL the Saints by His VOICE on the Last Day, which is His Second Coming

Fact G = JESUS, and all whom God places in HIM are the SUM Equation of the First Resurrection unto Immortal Bodies

A+B+C+D+E+F+G = Revelation ch1 / 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 / Revelation 20:4-6

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then at His coming, those who belong to Him.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Yet you use zero scripture to support your assertions. The last three posts of yours are 100 percent devoid of scripture and 100 percent full of your own words about what scripture says.

Just like the OP of this very thread…light on scripture and heavy on personal opinion. Easy to see why in his case though as he’s his brothers keeper and his full intention is to use subterfuge to lead people astray. It’s easy to see the deceivers who refuse to fully quote scripture or even outright avoid it. Jesus sees it all, and it’s all written in the book. A heavy and potentially eternal price will be paid by those who lead His flock astray.

Joshua 24:15 (KJV) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

You should stay off the internet and more time in His word.

It is a group of group of spiritual dead people who have been spiritually resurrected in Christ, and through Christ, and by Christ, for His glory. This is written throughout the New Testament. It is not hard to grasp.

The first resurrection in that passage is clearly speaking about a group of saved dead being resurrected by Jesus. Not sure how anyone can deny that.
And who is denying that???

Everyone who belongs to CHRIST is Resurrected by JESUS = "IAM the Resurrection"

John 6:37-40 contains Revelation 20:4-6
Revelation 20:4-6 is a subset of John 6:37-40
John 6:37-40 is contained in JESUS = "IAM the Resurrection"

Do you understand that all who are in CHRIST will be part of the First Resurrection??? = John 6:37-40

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Do you understand that all who are in CHRIST will be part of the First Resurrection??? = Revelation 2:8-11

These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: 9“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

11“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”
