So you believe it was just a flesh and bone body which was offered?

Clearly the writer to the Hebrews quotes Psalm 40:6-8 as you have correctly stated. But this Psalm reads differently in the Old Testament than in the New: "Mine ears hast thou opened"

Its one thing to quote a passage its another to understand it!

We shall see.

No, you said the "body" was sacrificed! Your words not mine. The Life you said was the Holy Spirit.

Lets put this another way for you 101G.

Did "God the Son" continue to exist while the body remained in the tomb?

Yes or no?

BTW you are still to answer this:

BTW you are still to answer this:

NO, lets get it right. the body, the Son of God was in the tomb, and the Spirit, the Son of man was always existing. and went into hell and preached to the spirit in prison.

Now Purity is the Son of Man, and the Son of God the same, a Yes or No will do?. :D

NO, lets get it right. the body, the Son of God was in the tomb,
So now you infer the body being just flesh and bone is the very Son of God? And why do you not use the title God the Son?

and the Spirit, the Son of man was always existing.
Then you proceed to use the title Spirit with the Son of Man which is his title of coming judgement upon all flesh including his own.

So lets get this straight.

1. You believe Jesus' body was only a house made of flesh and bone which was offered, though it appears you are confused in regards to a life.
2. in support of this you believe the corpse was in the grave while Jesus was in Hell preaching to the damned or something like this.
3. You believe the Spirit has no relationship to the body prepared at all

Heb 10:3-12 is all about a sacrifice which is greater than that of bulls and goats but clearly you hold the offering of a flesh and blood body, an empty vessel, a house for the Holy Spirit as you teach was enough to atone for your sins.

and went into hell and preached to the spirit in prison.
Then you would teach Christ your eternal Spirit, Holy and Pure went into everlasting fire to be tormented by evil spirits all the while preaching to the dead, but living tormented souls?

Not sure why you are avoiding this?

Why didn't Jesus call himself man the son?
For the same reason he did not call himself God the Son.

The Spirit reveals truth and not man!

As we are finding in this short discussion this evening with 101G.

101G, you will recall it was you whom presented Psalm 40 was it not?

What was in the mind of the Psalmist when he wrote Psalm 40?

Clearly the writer to the Hebrews quotes Psalm 40:6-8 as you have correctly stated. But this Psalm reads differently in the Old Testament than in the New: "Mine ears hast thou opened"

Purity, Purity, is not the "Son", a TITLE of GOD?. not "ANOTHER PERSON". this is what I been say all along. JESUS, GOD in flesh is the "SON".

Then you proceed to use the title Spirit with the Son of Man which is his title of coming judgement upon all flesh including his own.
is not the "Son of man the "Diversity" of the Spirit?. and Yes its the son of Man who is coming back, in GLORIFIED FLESH. not the son of God.

So lets get this straight.
1. You believe Jesus body was only a house made of flesh and bone which was offered though it appears you are confused in regards to a life.
The Life is in the BLOOD. Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul". THIS IS THE LIFE GOD KNEW IN THE FLESH, and he, GOD, gave that life, BLOOD.

2. in support of this you believe the corpse was in the grave while Jesus was in Hell preaching to the damned or something like this.
a body without the spirit is DEAD. James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also". dead body don't go around walking without the spirit. and yes the body was in the tomb, and the Son of man was in hell preaching to the spirits there. Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth". (NOT THE SON OF GOD).

3. You believe the Spirit has no relationship to the body prepared at all
wrong, it was the Spirit who prepared the body. listen, Luke 1:35 "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God". purity what was born?, that's right flesh, bone, and blood, and that flesh, bone, and blood is called the son of God. see the son of God came out of Mary. the Son of man it the spirit of God in that flesh, bone, and blood. let me break it down to you. the son of God is the Lamb "of" God. and the Lame is GOD. see Son "OF" is the outer man. the Son is the inner man, spirit.

Heb 10:3-12 is all about a sacrifice which is greater than that of bulls and goats but clearly you hold the offering of a flesh and blood body, an empty vessel, a house for the Holy Spirit as you teach was enough to atone for your sins.
a. wrong, that body was offered once, and that which was birthed is not the body that rose. supportive scripture, 1 Corinthians 15:35 "But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body". He have no blood now. so how do he live?. the Spirit. hence the Spirit of Christ.

b. an empty vessel, a house for the Holy Spirit as you teach was enough to atone for your sins.
the vessel was not empty, it had blood, the life of the FLESH. did not God come and save us from our sins?. Isaiah 35:4 "Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you". so who came?, GOD, the son of MAN the diversify spirit. and to make sure that it was GOD, the scriptures states, "EVEN GOD". now that enforce who came. if you can't believe the scriptures, sorry.

God himself, came as, in the likeness of a man, to save us. by giving his life, (the blood, the life of the flesh) that he knew in the flesh, or the natural. and changed that natural body into an eternal, IMMORTAL body for him to dwell in for eternity. supportive scripture, Colossians 2:9 "For in him, (GOD, Son of Man, name JESUS) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily". amen.

Purity, Purity,
It was Large Caps now condescension - what's next?

is not the "Son", a TITLE of GOD?. not "ANOTHER PERSON". this is what I been say all along. JESUS, GOD in flesh is the "SON".
Interesting - you could be right.

Rom 8:19KJV would make us all God right?

is not the "Son of man the "Diversity" of the Spirit?. and Yes its the son of Man who is coming back, in GLORIFIED FLESH. not the son of God.
Son of Man - Hmmm

First time it is used.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Num 23:19KJV)

Speaks for itself really.

So lets get this straight.

Yes but we established you believe the Life is in the Spirit and that the body was just a house having no relationship to the one occupying it.

You said "NO, lets get it right. the body, the Son of God was in the tomb, and the Spirit, the Son of man was always existing. and went into hell and preached to the spirit in prison."

So you believe the life was in the Spirit and not the blood.

Right?

2. in support of this you believe the corpse was in the grave while Jesus was in Hell preaching to the damned or something like this.

a body without the spirit is DEAD. James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also".
You like to put up quotes although struggle to use them wisely, in context.

“Spirit” is pneumatos from a root signifying to breathe. The translation is better rendered "the body without breath is dead and with this the margin of the AV agrees.

You should read your Bible with more care.

3. You believe the Spirit has no relationship to the body prepared at all
wrong, it was the Spirit who prepared the body. listen, Luke 1:35 "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost

shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God".

purity what was born?, that's right flesh, bone, and blood, and that flesh, bone, and blood is called the son of God. see the son of God came out of Mary. the Son of man it the spirit of God in that flesh, bone, and blood. let me break it down to you. the son of God is the Lamb "of" God. and the Lamb is GOD. see Son "OF" is the outer man. the Son is the inner man, spirit.
The Holy Spirit caused conception in Mary, anything more than this is serious conjecture on your part. Even you would agree you are reading a "lot" into Luke 1:35.

Can you take me to another passage to verify your beliefs? Be careful not to use passages like you did with James 2 above!

I like you took me to Luke 1:35 which defines the Holy Spirit as being the Power of the Most High!

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain
, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body". He have no blood now. so how do he live?. the Spirit. hence the Spirit of Christ.
You did not address the point!

You have not addressed how this "sacrifice" is any more effective than the shedding blood of bulls and of goats under the Law? If Jesus (or God) did not die but only a unrelated body then no meaningful sacrifice was made...you make it sound like a hoax.

b. an empty vessel, a house for the Holy Spirit as you teach was enough to atone for your sins.
the vessel was not empty, it had blood, the life of the FLESH. did not God come and save us from our sins?. Isaiah 35:4 "Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you". so who came?,
Who came?

Well you were told in Isa 9:6KJV

"a son was given"

#1. Interesting - you could be right. Rom 8:19 would make us all God right?
NO, it make us diversities, Sons, but not God. there is only ONE SPIRIT and we from him. so get your head out of the clouds. (smile, but a good thought). yes the scriptures say Psalms 82:6 "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High". but you missed the very next verse. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes".

#2. Son of Man - Hmmm
First time it is used. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Num 23:19KJV).

Not a man "TO LIE". that's all. now,
who do you think the image is in?. 1 Corinthians 15:47 "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven". now Purity, why is the Lord FROM heave is called a MAN?, :D

#3. Yes but we established you believe the Life is in the Spirit and that the body was just a house having no relationship to the one occupying it.
You said "NO, lets get it right. the body, the Son of God was in the tomb, and the Spirit, the Son of man was always existing. and went into hell and preached to the spirit in prison." So you believe the life was in the Spirit and not the blood. Right?

Purity, How hard is it to understand?. did he not give the blood on the cross. John 19:34 "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water". he have no more blood. with that blood loss, that ended the NATURAL LIFE.

#4. “Spirit” is pneumatos from a root signifying to breathe. The translation is better rendered "the body without breath is dead and with this the margin of the AV agrees.
Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul". is the SOUL the BODY?. you need to read your bible "WITH UNDERSTANDING".

and the rest of your question was answered.

if you would just take the time to understand the diversified spirit. then you will know and understand God.
Listen, understand the word "OF", as in Son "of" God. and Son "of" Man
of tell you the who and the what. "of", tell us the SUBJECTIVE, and the OBJECTIVE. or the CONCRETE and the ABSTRACT. understand these terms.
listen, the subjective of God is the spirit, and the objective of God is the flesh. or better said, the subjective of God is the Son of Man. and the objective of God is the son of God. God carried out his OWN will by being in flesh and blood, (the diversity). the flesh and blood, (the body) is the manifestation of God in the natural world. the flesh is the concrete, (which we see, touch), and the diversified spirit is the abstract, (that which we cannot see, or touch naturally). understand the difference between concrete, and abstract.
and please understand the "diversity", OF God.
be blessed

So you believe Jesus Christ in like manner is a created being born of a woman and being the first fruits of them which sleep, is but a god? Is he not the captain of our salvation? Is your death and resurrection likened to not to his? I agree there is only one spirit, but there are many children. Jesus Christ is but one of those children - a Son...not a God.

Though he manifested the Father perfectly he is not the Father Himself.

You need to appreciate the person of God and the person of the Son...after all you like to speak of diversity!

#2. Son of Man - Hmmm

Gal 4:4 simple unlike his Father who is not a man.

#3. Yes but we established you believe the Life is in the Spirit and that the body was just a house having no relationship to the one occupying it.

The Spiritual life ended also!

How many days did Christ spend in the grave?

Answer: Three

And what happened after this?

His Father raised him up.

Rather simple without the platonic teaching :)

You mean living creature right? like an animal correct? does my dog have an immortal soul? do we not share the same breath? Eccl 3:19KJV

trinitarians? Christianity is the religion of God as a Trinity. This message board holds to this most foundational belief. What you are challenging is the most fundamental doctrine. Rejection of this doctrine places you outside orthodoxy.
You should clarify your statement by saying that MODERN Christianity is the religion of a trinity. The religion that Christ taught and that the apostles continued did not have any such concept. This is why you don't even see the word trinity in the Bible. What you do see is the Godhead. What Christ clearly taught is that He came to do the will of some other being, which He calls His Father. This is the being that is God. Christ then receives all the glory and power that His Father has, making Him another God. Two beings who have the same power because the first gave to the other based on obedience to the laws of this power. Power was also given to the Holy Spirit to be with them in this formation called the Godhead. These 3 beings, as separate as you, your mother, and your father are, are the governing beings of our universe, all under the direction of the Father. They work as one with the common attributes and goals that they have. The concept is very similar to the idea that a husband and wife are to be one. 2 distinct individuals that work together, having the same goals. They are to be one.

The trinity concept comes around after the apostles are gone and error creeps into the church over the next 200 years. By the time of the formation of the Catholic church, the foundation had been mixed with Hellenistic and Pagan doctrines and unfortunately, people today follow those doctrines instead of the Biblical doctrines. They tried to change the polytheistic religion to a monotheistic one and by so doing came up with an incomprehensible doctrine of the 3 spiritual mixtures in 1.

I know lots of Christians think the doctrine of the trinity is Biblical, but please look again. Show us where even the word trinity appears? I am a Christian and I have looked many times. I live by every word in the Bible, of which, trinity is not one of them. This 1o1g guy is not attacking the true Christianity of the Bible, he is trying to dispel the traditions of a long distorted doctrine. Thank you for your words 1o1g

Christianity is not polytheistic. Doctrine developed over time. Believing that Christ was born as a human being without divinity is a heresy. Christ never claimed that He was human and then turned into a god - He claimed that He was with God in the beginning and that He was there when Lucifer fell from Heaven like lightening.
