The ancient practice of mouse cleaning - serious business to some; humorous to others.

* Try cleaning a mouse while singing Louie Louie. A fun time will be had by all. *

Ah Ha ! Thanks for the #4151 ! The hand is cleaning a wired computer mouse of old times , now most everyone when using a mouse it is an optical mouse with no track ball and rollers that get dirty .

Stop leaving your kids with their grandparents to babysit.I asked my nephew how old he was gonna be and he said:"if the lord sees fit,9 in November.

This joke works through cultural contrast and unexpected phrasing from a child. Here's why it's funny:

The Setup:

The speaker complains about kids being left with grandparents too much

Immediately demonstrates why with a real-life example

The Punchline:

Expected answer: "I'll be 9 in November" (normal child response)

Actual answer: "if the Lord sees fit, 9 in November"

Humor Layers:

Religious Formality: The child uses devout phrasing more suited to a Southern preacher than a kid

Grandparent Influence: Clearly reveals the grandparents' extremely religious upbringing style

Existential Weight: Turns a simple birthday into a matter of divine approval

Deadpan Delivery: The child says it completely earnestly

Cultural Context:

Satirizes Bible Belt (US) grandparents who:
• Frame everything through God's will
• Teach kids to speak in "church language" even for mundane topics

Why It Lands:

The disconnect between a child's innocence and the overly solemn language

Every parent recognizes how kids parrot caregivers' speech patterns
