Eternal life has two parts:
part one) grace that we receive now in this life with the initial grace of justification which we can increase by good works and lose by sin.
part two) eternal salvation after death, judgment, eternal life in the glories of heaven.

Salvation was actually revealed as church doctrine by Paul the Apostle., tho it was completed by Jesus on The Cross 2000 yrs ago.
What Paul revealed is that "all who believe in Jesus shall be saved", for as long as God lives.
Salvatoin is easy to receive.....as it only costs the sinner their FAITH........while it Cost God's Son His Blood and Death to make God's Salvation available, as the FREE= "Gift of Salvation".

Faith alone IN CHRIST, is the correct answer.
JUSTIFICATION by FAITH...............which means that when you trust in Christ, God accepts your faith to save. you.
And when you try to work to gain heaven, then God rejects your self effort.
Having FAITH IN CHRIST........is what God accepts to accept you., and God will accept nothing else.
Try to understand that Salvation is what GOD OFFERS YOU.........its not what you offer God to try to earn it.
So, when you are posting verses, that are all about works and self effort, you are denying that Salvation is based on THE CROSS of CHRIST.
Im not certain what cult you belong to that has you trying to work your way into heaven.... but im certain you are not going to tell us. @faithhopecharity .
Try to understand that JESUS is your Salvaiton, and you can't do that for yourself.

If you are born again and not just water baptized and religious....
= God saved you, not because you were good, but because you were an ungodly sinner who needed to be forgiven and saved.
We all qualify for God's Salvation, because we were all of us ungodly.......and its a fact that Jesus came into the world to save SINNER.. who are UNGODLY.
So, later on, dont pretend that becaue you are always trying to be good, that this is somehow why God would save you and keep you saved.
= Listen....
God saved you, only based on what Jesus did for you by Keeping the Law for you and then dying for your sin on The Cross.
So, its CHRIST's Effort and Work and Purity and SHED BLOOD that God only accepts to accept an ungodly sinner ""while we were yet sinners".
Thereore never become self righteous and try to argue that God saved you and is keeping you saved because of YOUR behavior.

This simply means that an ungodly sinner, while they were yet a sinner, gave God their Faith IN CHRIST, and God eternally accepted that Faith, and gave them, you, and ME. = HIS Righteousness, as "The Gift of Righteousnes"..
And now having been made righteous by God' Gift, this settles for eternity HOW you become and remain RIGHTEOUS before God........and that is "without works or deeds of the Law".
Now, notice this next verse carefully.. Romans 4:6.....Paul teaches,, that God gives you RIGHTEOUSNESS "without works"... <<<<.
Then notice Romans 4:8 says that God does not charge sin against a Believer.........also taught by Paul in 2 Corin 5:19.
So, what are we discovering?
We are discovering that Salvation is God's Righteousness, GIVEN to the UNGODLY SINNER< only because they gave God their FAITH in CHRIST..
And we are discovering that once we have been given God's Righteousness, God never again charges you with SIN.
And Why does God not charge a Born again Believer with sin?
Its because we are "not under the LAW...but under God's Grace".......so, when there is no Law that can judge our Deeds, then God never again charges us with sin........not ever..... = "where there is no LAW......there is no TRANSGRESSION (sin)"""... found.
The born again .. "are not under the Law........but under GRACE".
And if you read Romans 4:7, Paul teaches us that our sins are forgiven and we are """COVERED""....and this means that Christ's Blood will always be our eternal Forgiveness.
So what does all this teach us about our Salvation?
Reader, It teaches us that our WORKS and Moses Law and water baptism and trying to imitate Christ have nothing to do with Why and HOW God accepts you and saves you, and keeps you saved.

A.) It means to recognize and comprehend that you already HAVE God's Salvation, and now you are to learn how to exit within it as God wants you to understand it.
Now, to work our your Salvation, is to find out How God completed it and offers it. And then once you get this into your inner man, once yu get the revelation, the enlightenment, then you hold on and never let it go.
And what is that Revelation?
Its that God's Salvation was completed by Jesus on The Cross, 2000 yrs ago, and He's been giving it to "all who will believe" as "Christ in you, the Hope of Glory" for the last 2000 yrs.
And what is that?
Reader, its what a Preacher of God's New Covenent that is Jesus's Shed Blood, will tell you is a "Divine Exchange".
Its that Place where God and sinner become ONE throught Christ for as long as God lives.
Roman's 4 says this.........
"Abraham BELIEVED GOD.........an it (His faith in Christ) was (counted by God) as Christ's RIGHTEOUSNESS" given to him..."imputed righteousness".
So, we see that this is How we receive "The Gift of Righteousness" from God today.......and "not by works, but according to God's MERCY He saves us" by giving us "imputed righteousness..
And so what is the KEY that unlocks the understanding ?
You simply need to realized that you have to be EQUAL to GOD in Righteousness, to belong to God forever.
To go to Heaven, you have to be equal to God's Righteousness.....and that means God has to GIVE IT TO YOU, as "the Gift of righteousness".......because you have BELIEVED...... = our "FAITH is counted by God as (Christ's) righteousness"...
And therefore, God has created JESUS AS THE WAY. John 14:6... that you may RECEIVE "God's Gift of Righteousness" and thereby become eternally joined to God by being "born again" by the Holy Spirit....... and this means that you've become "THE Righteousness of God...IN CHRIST", and that is an ETERNAL BIRTH that places you within the Kingdom of God as "One with God", "in Christ"... "seated in Heavenly places".
Now, when you realize that you can't do that by being good enough, or giving enough or by trying to work hard enough, as all that leads to is..."that which i want to do i can't and that which i hate, that i do"...(as Paul teaches in Romans 7)... then you have realized God's Salvation is no of yourself, its :JESUS and the born again are "IN CHRIST".....,=then you have "worked it out" in your UNDERSTANDING., and that's how you "work out your Salvation".. in AWE and Wonder. As isn't God's "Gift of Salvation" that is God's "Gift of Righteousess" given to a believing SINNER = the most Awesome wonder of all,..... as that is your Eternal SALVATION as found "in Christ".
