In the old testament we find "spare the rod, spoil the child" and the law of Moses.

In the new testament we have, Jesus the Christ, the promised messiah. He fulfilled the law, took the punishment of death of sin. He did that and sent the holy ghost comforter so that we could have peace thru the grace of God and Christ.

Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfill the law.

It is important for us to accept Christ.

Punishmentment was abolished.

All that was needed was the healer God as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Jesus came and healed many, and they needed and loved him, he was a comfort not only spiritually but physically as well.

In today's world, those that break the laws as established from God thru Moses, might have to be separated from society, but they don't have to be punished or chastised thru punishment. We call that jail or imprisonment for a duration.

Punishment only brings more abuse and damage to a human body or spirit. More damage Christ must heal and take the punishment for death of measure of sin to heal.

Slavery, punishment are methods of conditioning slaves. Called that dark city of Sodom and Egypt.

Jesus came to heal and free his people from punishment of sin of death and to free the captives of prisonment of death. That he resurrected many to life as witnessed in the holy Bible in the old and new testament.

Thank You,

Devin

See Moses in the Bible and the story of Israel being freed from slavery in Egypt.

Those that do not accept Christ Jesus may be bound by the Law and punishment of sin. Christians are made free by our loving God, God the Father, Jesus the Christ, and Heavenly Father the holy spirit of God.

Father and Son can both forgive us and heal us as thru Christ our lord in body and spirit.

Jesus is well capable of saving our souls as he is with our father and his father and is always watching and waiting to lead us to him and his father to be together in a Heavenly happy family. A loving family. Someday all together in heaven.

Amen.

Alighty?
Yeshua did not abolish the Law it still applies to the Jews, until all things are fulfilled.
But the Law does not apply to Christians. The Apostle Paul made that clear.
And keep in mind that Yeshua's ministry occurred during the Old Covenant and He talked a lot about the Law to Jews.

The intent of a good society,

even when separating criminals that harm others thru theft, murder, rape, deceit and bearing false witness,

Is to protect the Law abiding citizens, from those that burden others with measures of sin which is death. Grievess sins sometimes and often have to be dealt with by peace keepers and law enforcement.

Unfortunately sometimes people get harmed in the process, but that should never be the intent nor purpose of keeping the peace or law enforcement.

Killing with the intent to kill was covered in the Bible by our lord, those who kill by the sword die by the sword, those that lead to captivy go to captivy.

Such are the stories from Joseph in Egypt as Israel in captivy under Pharoah and brought out of Egypt thru God and Moses. The story of Christianity and the promised messiah of his people Israel. God grafts on to Israel those who believe in Christ and follow his word as given thru the word of God and Christ.

Christ on the cross was a story of death and life.

Sometimes Law enforcement appear to sacrifice the sinner for the saint or potential saint, such are the stories of hostage situations that turn out unfortunately. Or terrorist acts that endanger God's people. Those actions are government by the almighty God.

We priests lead people to Christ and give them to Christ our lord. We get to enjoy the warm spirit of our loving God. Only in peace times does that feel loving I find.

Many have given their lives for others in peace keeping and Law enforcement, rescue. Jesus said, there is no greater love than to give your life for a friend.

And often we find prophets of old walking thru the valley of the shadow of death. God is their comforter and always has been and always will be.

Those who punish to harm as a measure of death, I grow concerned may be following the tail of the dragon.

There is the creator in the book of Genesis when God beheld his creations and saw that they were good.

There is the fall of Adam and Eve from deception of the serpent which lead to the destruction of God's creations which grieved him in sorrow for he loved them.

There is the promised messiah Jesus the Christ. And the redemption and restoration of God's beloved Son and his people. And that is the joy of God and us.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God gives us commandments so that we can avoid harm in the life he gives us. God does not harm his children, he heals them, and we are saved from the fall thru Christ our Lord. And saved from breaking God's commandments which can lead to eventual death thru sins.
