If one doesn't understand what happenned in the beginning, they sure won't understand what's to happen in the end.

The "mystery of iniquity" is about the "emnity" God put between the Seed of the Woman and Satan's host (Gen.3:15). That's when it began.

Satan originally was created good as a covering cherub to guard God's Throne. Instead, he coveted God's Throne for himself and rebelled, and drew a third of the angels into rebellion with him. Ever since Satan has wanted to play God in His Place.

Our Heavenly Father is going to allow him to do just that, for a short space of time, in the end of this present world. Starting in Genesis our Heavenly Father begins telling us about it as a warning. The mark of the beast began with Cain. And that's the beast working that has continued to our day.

In the Book of Jude, he revealed that certain men were ordained of old to the condemnation against God and His Christ. In Matt.13 our Lord Jesus specifically warned about this working with explaining the tares of the field parable to His disciples.

Ancient Sumer-Babylon is where the false religion of pagandom started. That's when the 'tares' officially began their movement for control over the whole earth. It spread to the ancient Far East, to ancient Egypt, to ancient Greece, and to ancient Europe. It involved various forms of Baal worship, which began in Sumer-Babylon. It also crept in among Israel in Old Testament times, and caused God to divorce the ten tribes of Israel for falling away to it. Then Judah fell away to it and were also scattered among the nations.

The main purpose the tares have is to prepare all to worship Satan in place of God. That is what Baal worship is about, since it was derived from ancient Sumer from 'Bel' (dragon) worship. The dragon is another title for Satan in God's Word. All pagan worship is derived from that original type.

The secret societies of the occult are still active today in fomenting that plan for all the world to accept Bel worship, worship of Satan himself in God's Place, literally in God's Place in a temple in Jerusalem, on earth. That's who the "man of sin" is, and who it's always been about. All the pagan kingdoms of history have been types for the final one that is to come in the latter days over the whole earth, over all nations. Not one nation will be left out of it. There will be no place to hide, no place to run to, no army on earth that will stop it, no religious organization that won't be a part of it. The ONLY place of safety will be in Christ Jesus, our Passover sacrificed for us. Will you stand up for Him and give His Witness, or will you bow to that "man of sin" that will come just to keep your earthly things and treasures? We each must decide, which is why we have been born during this time today.

I like how you slipped "satan" into Gen 3:15...rather cunning if you ask me.
While I agree with you "mystery of sin" is emnity between the (serpent) carnal mind and the spiritual, be it manifested in a false religous movement. Your leap to the supernatural is again unfounded from Gen 1-3.

You cannot prove from the Bible satan was behind the animal.

Can you provide a Bible quote to supprt your statement below..

"Satan has wanted to play God in His Place"

You seem to mention this a lot in your comments, so you must have scriptural evidence to support?

I also note the above coments fail to open up the Word in 2 Thess 2 in any way, shape or form. I must ask the question why?

I didn't slip anything into it. God was talking to the "serpent" in Gen.3:15.

Are you really serious? You don't know? In case you're not really playing around with me, here it is...

Rev 12:9
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
(KJV)

Rev 20:2
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
(KJV)

Like it or not, that defines beyond all doubt that serpent in Genesis in God's Garden was in reality Satan himself, and not a child's fairytale snake. The title "that old serpent" is simply one of Satan's many titles given in God's Word. Now saying man's "carnal nature" is "that old serpent" really is a reach not supported Biblically.

Isa 14:12-14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
(KJV)

Well, since you're obviously not familiar with who God was talking about in that Isaiah 14 example, and probably not Ezekiel 28 about the covering cherub (Satan), I doubt you could understand the 2 Thess.2:3-4 link. But you should be able to understand it, unless God has closed your understanding for some reason.
