What the Lord of God actually is? I'm not sure of your question.
I wasn't asking a question, I was making a statement where I was repeating what the Lord said in His Word:
1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
I never said anything about "What the Lord of God actually is" since there is nobody that is Lord over God.
1 John 5:3- "The love of God is that we keep His commands". Yep. What are His commands?
Love God with all heart, soul.. & love neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 10:37 - He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Jesus is telling us here that loving other before loving Him is a problem.
It's weird and odd that some folks seem to either not know this or keep forgetting to put this in to their discourse.
Love fulfills the LAW That is what the scriptures say repeatedly and I agree. I think I have explained it best I can. Does that help answer your Q?
I don't have a question. I have a statement in telling other what Jesus said in Matthew 10:37
Of course the Lord wants us to love others, but that's second place to loving Him.
A big problem was have among those that say they are Christians is they actually love men more than they love the Lord in that they accept the doctrines of men (wisdom of man) before loving the Lord and what He says (wisdom of God)
Matthew 22:37-39 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Notice how Jesus puts loving God first? That's the point, let's pay attention to what Jesus is saying here
Ok, so I see you give more importance to what Paul, a mere servant, teached than the clear words of Christ, the son of God, one with God?
Jesus is speaking thru the Apostle Paul.
Jesus, thru the Holy Spirit, is the One telling Paul what to write so there is no contradiction between Jesus and Paul contrary to popular believe due to rumors being spread about by the devil that Paul is teaching a different gospel than Jesus
Paul has his own gospel, he refers to it as 'MY gospel!'
Here's what the Lord said thru Paul about those claiming they should follow Paul's teachings and ignore the Words of Jesus:
1 Timothy 6:3-5 - If any man teach otherwise,
and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
Read it and weep!
No, like Jesus the Apostle Paul taught the Gospel of the Kingdom of God that is available by grace THRU ling by faith
What many do not understand is that Jesus continued His teaching ministry thru ALL of the New Testament writers and after people became born again and filled with the Holy Spirit the Lord was able to expound in more with more detailed insight than He could during His earthly ministry when nobody was yet born again or filled with the Holy Spirit.
