The Purpose of the Bible

Why is it wrong to say Paul is wrong? He isn't God. I've learned a lot from him, but I know he isn't God.

because EVERYTHING in the Bible is correct. You dont get to pick and choose what you think is right. ALLL of scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

I also think the purpose of the Bible is to order our thoughts in a certain sort of way. That as we internalize the Word of God, we come to think in the ways God speaks.

If by "internalize" you mean have the Word brought to Life within us, then you would be right...

From what then comes that quickening, but by the Holy Spirit? Is this not why Apostle admonished us not to quench the Spirit?

But without the Holy Spirit quickening it within us, how would it be better than the devil quoting scripture?

I might as well chime in on this, FWIW. I've read more than a few treatments on this subject. I don't know that I agree 100% with any of them. But I know that God doesn't expect the fairer sex to clam up and hold it every time they walk into His House Of Prayer, just as sure as I know Jesus didn't mean that I had to literally break the 5th commandment in order to become His follower, either. There are numerous places in Scripture where instructions are not meant to be permanent and/or universal. It doesn't mean the authors are uninspired. Please do not be alarmed!

If I were a betting man, I’d wager that YOU were the one that was Wrong.......Peter said that even though Paul was “ hard to understand ” , everything contained in his letters were Holy- Spirit inspired and “ The Equal To Anything Found In Scripture”.....

I guess you figure that Scripture is “ occasionally wrong” and it is up to guys like you to pick and choose what is the Holy Spirit got “ Right” and what The Holy Spirit got “ Wrong”....
