Many Greek scholars, long before the JW,s came into existence, translated- a god at John 1:1--All those translations were rejected by trinity religions thus not used. The truth exposed them, they couldn't have that.
You wouldn't know a "Greek scholar" from a demon!

Of course, I'm pulling people like you and your followers from THE FIRE!

You said you're going to Hell FOREVER but there may be hope for you.
As some believe, if I'm predestined to go to hell then there is no hope for me. Do you agree?

You're following demons to Hell. YOU said so! No Christian will follow your advice!
My comfort and confidence is not in my ability to convince anyone of anything. That's the responsibility of the Spirit of Christ. I have complete confidence in Him to carry out God's agenda, script and will. I just play my extremely small part and leave the rest to Him. It's pretty simple really.

Jesus never told anyone to interpret His parables through their imagination. He explained them to His disciples directly, and those explanations are written in Scripture. The disciples did not imagine the meaning. They were taught by Him, and the Spirit later brought those teachings to remembrance ~John 14:26, not new teachings.
So are you saying that only the 72 disciples Jesus sent out 2 by 2 to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God received the Spirit on the day of Penticost? And that the Holy Spirit reminded ONLY these disciples of what Jesus had said?

I read that the Spirit came upon120 who were filled with the Spirit. Men and woman. They preached the wonderful works of God as Peter explained.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy. Act 2

So God pours His Spirit on all flesh, not just 120 or 72 or 12 but ALL flesh, men, women, young, old, servants and handmaidens so they can preach God's word which Jesus taught making disciples OF ALL nations, people, tribes and tongues as happened in Jerusalem that day.

The Bible teaches that God chooses who receives His Spirit, not us choosing Him first. In the Old Testament, God gave His Spirit to people He chose for a purpose, like prophets, leaders, and servants. He also promised a future outpouring where the Spirit would be given more widely, to men and women, young and old. Jesus confirmed this. He said the Father gives the Holy Spirit to those He calls and to those who believe and ask. The Spirit is offered to all people, but He is not given automatically to everyone at the same time. God remains the One who chooses, and He gives His Spirit according to His will and timing.

The Spirit also has clear and limited uses. He does not bring a new message or a different truth. Jesus said the Spirit would remind His disciples of what He had taught and would guide people into the truth. The Spirit always points to Christ, glorifies Christ, and leads people to obey His words. At Pentecost, the Spirit was poured out so the message of Jesus could go to all nations, not to replace Jesus, but to make Him known. From beginning to end, the Spirit’s work is to turn hearts to Christ, keep people in His teaching, and prepare God’s people for His Kingdom.

Thanks for your reflection.
The Spirit also has clear and limited uses. He does not bring a new message or a different truth. Jesus said the Spirit would remind His disciples of what He had taught and would guide people into the truth.
Is the Spirit allowed to bring us new truths from Jesus? Is Jesus allowed to give further words from His Father to the Spirit to give to us? Has Father gone mute since the bible was compiled?

I believe Jesus said His Spirit would lead people into ALL truth. That the Spirit would remind people of what He had said (most were never written down). The Spirit would shew people things to come. And Jesus had more to tell people when He was in human form, more than they could then bear.

Therefore the Spirit gave abilities to members of the church to communicate further truths from God to the Church, from the Head to His body.
I appreciate what you are saying, and elevating Christ the Son of Man, Son of God, the Lamb of God. Yet the Spirit of Christ also testifies to Paul's spirit so that he cry out 'Abba FATHER'.

Actually Jesus said it was to our advantage that He goes to His Father. That He would not leave us as orphans but would be replaced by the Holy Spirit.

Yes, that the Spirit would lead us into the truth that Jesus taught as part of His mission on earth. Most of His teaching and other things He did was never documented of course. Therefore the necessity to be filled and taught by the Spirit of Truth so He can teach us the majority of things Jesus taught but was never written down.

Jhn 21:24 & 25 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Facts. I didnt notice it in my past, but the more closer we draw to Jesus and asusme His teaching, religious people can be hostile. My nan doesnt like my faith, I prayed to God and called Him Father, my nan didnt like that. She also doesnt want me to keep donating to church. She is religious.

One of the most surprising facts in Scripture is that some of the most vicious enemies of God are also the most religious. Jesus discovered this first hand. The Pharisees, the religious leaders of His day, were not pagans or atheists or street-corner rebels. They were men who quoted Scripture, led the worship of the people, and appeared devout. But when the Son of God stood before them, they mocked Him. Luke records that “the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed Him” ~Luke 16:14.

That one verse pierces through the mask of religious appearance. Their mockery was not simply a matter of intellectual disagreement over Jesus’ teaching. Rather, it exposed what was ruling their hearts. They loved money more than God. They valued power more than purity and reputation more than repentance. When the light of truth came into their camp, they sneered. The same spirit lives on today in those who would preach comfort rather than conviction; those who replace repentance with self-esteem; and those who use the name of God to line their own pockets.

The Bible says flatly, “Men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil” ~John 3:19. When the light of truth shines, the hypocrite flees or fights. This is why so many false teachers ridicule biblical preaching that calls for holiness. They laugh at those who take God’s Word seriously. They label obedience “legalism” and sound doctrine “division.” But their hostility only proves the truth of what Jesus said: “No one can serve two masters… You cannot serve God and money” ~Matthew 6:24.

Faith runs to the light, it does not run from it. Those who truly belong to Christ love the truth even when it stings, because they know that the Word is life. But the false teacher has to protect his system at all costs. He will twist Scripture to justify sin and deaden conviction. Just as the Pharisees “justify themselves before men, but God knows their hearts” ~Luke 16:15.

Mockery of the truth has become fashionable again. Those preachers who are willing to call sin what it is are now labeled intolerant. Churches who hold on to the authority of Scripture are accused of being “outdated.” But God is not mocked. “Whatever a man sows, that will he also reap” ~Galatians 6:7. The sneer of a false teacher may sound confident today, but it will not silence the voice of judgment tomorrow.

Religion without repentance is just a stage act. It may impress men, but it disgusts God. “That which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God” ~Luke 16:15. The showy prayers, the polished speeches, the claims of enlightenment, all of it means nothing if the heart refuses to bow to Christ.

The gospel pierces the heart. It calls every person, religious or not, to confess their sin and trust in the only One who saves. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me” ~John 14:6. Any message that denies or dilutes that truth mocks God Himself.

So when religion scoffs at God today, when the pulpits grow soft and the world applauds, remember this: the same sneer that turned on Jesus will turn on anyone else who is willing to stand for His Word. But just as He conquered every mocker at the cross, His truth will stand long after the laughter has died away. “The Word of the Lord endures forever” ~1 Peter 1:25.

Every false religion says man must climb his way up to God. The true gospel proclaims that God came down to us in Christ. The Lord who was mocked by men now offers mercy to all who will turn from sin and believe. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” ~John 3:16.

Turn to Him while there’s still time. The One the world mocked is the only One who can save.

Hi Learner,
thanks for the like to remind me to come back here.
I'm wondering if the OP is still here, but anyway, I'll respond to you....
Have not really gone through the thread...

OK...looks like @bdavidc is still here...he logged out before I posted my request above.

Anyway,,,

The OP is saying that some of the most ardent attackers of Christianity are the RELIGIOUS.
I've been hearing about how terrible religion is for all the years I've been on these forums.

Is it?

To have faith is referring to our faith in Jesus for salvation, for our teachings of Christianity....
but isn't religiousity also necessary?

Jesus went to synogague.
He followed the 10 Commandments.

I'm told this is doing WORKS.
Is it?
Or is it just obeying what Jesus taught?

The OP said this:

The same spirit lives on today in those who would preach comfort rather than conviction; those who replace repentance with self-esteem; and those who use the name of God to line their own pockets.

Do you believe the above to be referring to what we would call easy believers?
Yes,,,I do find this type of teaching bothersome.
So does this make me one of those RELIGIOUS persons that we're suppoed to look down upon?

The OP states this:

Mockery of the truth has become fashionable again. Those preachers who are willing to call sin what it is are now labeled intolerant. Churches who hold on to the authority of Scripture are accused of being “outdated.”

I'd say he's correct. I'd say that Christianity is losing all meaning.
I'm sure this thread has wandered from the OP by now --- maybe not.

Anyway, what say you?

Do we FEAR what Jesus taught
or are we supposed to obey Him?

Now take your statement all the way home, for it applies to every teaching that contradicts the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE.

Verily verily i do say unto thee , Many do not do so . Many have chosen rather
to heed men that will PICK and choose His teachings .
But what i say to one i say to all
to omit things JESUS taught is to truly follow another jesus , one created of and by the carnal flesh of men .
Now how about we all read again ALL things HE did say .
And then take notice that in all the letters of the apostels , as well as acts
as well as revelation and etc
none contradicted THE WORDS of JESUS in favor of a ever changing worlds view point .
in other words
HIS words were not for just a certain generation , a certain time that no longer exists .
no ,
And no sirs
and no mams . HIS WORDS are for all generations .
In fact only his words SHALL ENDURE while all else and when all else vanishes away .
SO when you said it applies to EVERY teaching that contradicts the WAY , THE TRUTH and the LIFE
YOU WAS SPOT ON RIGHT my friend . Those words should have been honored by the church
not twisted and omitted in fa vor of flesh pleasing garbage .

there is no such thing as part time partial love . OH it exists , BUT IT IS NOT THE LOVE OF GOD .
IF a man LOVES me HE will KEEP my sayings .
HE who hears my words and does them , DOES THEM , is like a man that digged way down deep
and laid a GOOD FOUNDATION .
He who hears and does not , SINKING SAND , that HOUSE IS A COMING DOWN .
pretty simple indeed my friend .
Why do you think in every letter we read , where paul was writing to the churches
and he spoke about WHO should be elders
DO WE SEE the WORD let them be BLAMELESS ,
let them be GRAVE , SERIOUS , SINCERE ,
IN doctrine uncorrupt .
And i sure notice every time its made mention , It speaks of MEN leading the church , NOT women .
Oopsy .
I notice not an apostel one was woman .
And i notice that paul says after explaining to the church of cornithinans
concerning no women leaders
HE said let HE who is spiritual acknowlege
that these are the COMMANDMENTS of WHO . THE LORD .
Anyone wanna tell me why i see so many women now leading this people .
And that aint even the half of it or the worst of it
i see unrepentant sinners leading this people.
I SEE those who reject the gospel , the dire need to have to beleive on JESUS to be saved , that lead this people .
I See lovers of mo money leading this people
And more so i see every time a man with a bible comes in to speak truth
THEY SHOW SUCH man and such words IN SAID BIBLE
RIGHT OUT the door as though its all hate speech . The b lind lead this people my friend . and both will surely fall into the ditch .

When one brings Truth into such a place
and the Truth exposes what they love , dont expect a hug , a smile and a lets all have unity .
Expect to see the door .
When is this people gonna figure out
that by means of satan , by means of lustful men , whose desire was gain
A sensual love of the world was pumped in under the guise it was the LOVE of GOD .
But a real easy test can determine whether ones love is of the world or cometh of GOD .
When love rejects Truth , beleive you me and believe me you , IT AINT COMING OF GOD.
No matter how often it talks of feeding the poor
IF that love does not rejoice IN TRUTH , but rather in a lie , in inquity , WELL its of the world .
AND NOT of the FATHER .
And HE who loveth the world is THE ENEMY OF GOD . man satan is slick indeed .
By his v ersion of love HE has turned many in wool INTO the enemy of GOD
and all the while they THINK its GOD they DO LOVE . Nope . wrong god is loved and embraced .
We have got to get this people back into the bible . And never ever ever , ever
heed ever again anyone who says lest ye sit under us , lest ye sit under our scholar lest ye
know our greek , YE cant know the scrips . CAUSE FRIEND THEY LIE TO US . THEY LIE to us and do nothing
but fleece this people . GOD is , thus CHRIST is WITH THE SHEEP .

I find it bothersome that some call everything WORKS SALVATION.
I used to be called LEGALISTIC...I don't hear this term anymore.

But there are other terms.
I hear that doing good works is SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS.
I hear that we don't need to HELP God...He can create the Kingdom of God on earth all by Himself, I guess.

I think we need to obey God, the best that we can - nobody is perfect.

Period.

How this gets pushback is a mystery to me!

How this gets pushback is a mystery to me!
How come its not a mystery to me as to why it gets pushback .
Remember when i said its high time we get ourselves b ack into ...........
now heed this next huge word , JUST the bible for ourselves .
Every institution known to man for as far back as i can search
has led its people right into some form of man made , contrary to Christ , doctrine .
Now if that puts a wee bit of fear into you , THEN GOOD . However i dont mean
it to sound like its too late for anyone . But when i say ITS BIBLE TIME
I mean BIBLE TIME . how come folks have such a problem
with reading and enjoying that book . By grace i been reading it daily for years and with others too .
We read letters as a whole . we just enjoy it .
OH , i already know the answer to the HOW COME folks have such a problem .
I just though i should make mention of it . Are we ready to BIBLE UP now .
Because i tell us all , WE could have had g reat fellowship had our center been ON T RUTH .
I know so many just want to beleive their church was the foundation .
and that so long as we sit under it we okay . PROBLEM IS , the churches i look at
from within every and do i mean every denomination sure dont seem to be
entirely focused on THE FOUNDATION and HIS WORDS .
Look i am weary with watching folks always d efend WHY we can do as we can do
WHEN what is being done is CONTRARY TO GOD .
And guess what , praying to saints , to mary or etc , THAT IS CONT RARY TO GOD .
but until people can fully pull that plank of whatever denominational teaching
they hold to that is contrary to GOD , friend they cant truly help anyone , let alone even themselves .
SO when i say bible time . I mean the actual origiginal le tters of the FIRST apostles

Now take your statement all the way home, for it applies to every teaching that contradicts the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE.
If you believe my teaching contradicts Christ as “the way, the truth, and the life” ~John 14:6, then name the specific teaching and show it from Scripture. A charge without evidence proves nothing. “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” ~1 Thessalonians 5:21.

Your right , we need to show the error .
SO allow me
to bring us a couple of things . Now feel free to answer what you beleive concering such .
It will prove whether or not you believe men or GOD .
Now i want you to also do the same to me . I mean we ought to always desire what is good for the other
and to do all to help the other . to even pull them out of error .
SO here goes . please allow the drum roll ........................................................................
WHY do i see SO MANY REMARRIAGES that were done CONTRARY TO GOD , TO CHRIST and THUS ARE ADULTERY
and yet folks making excuses for such remarriages .
WHY do i see female pastors and leaders also in churches .
FEEL free to explain THAT . there will be more of JESUS sayings i will flood this place with as well .
HEY , dont we all NEED to examine ourselves and one another . we do . so lets see who has been beleiving
and doing things contrary to GOD , CHRIST . so we can help put an end to it for their sakes .
