And yet, when Jesus was raised from the dead, there were many dead saints that were raised with him (Mat 27:52). I would suggest that the resurrection of the dead is not a singular event but has multiple stages.

Because their physical bodies are dead. But we are not our bodies; we merely live in a body. We are a spirit, like God is a spirit. There is one type of body for heaven and another type for earth. A physical body cannot function in heaven, nor can a heavenly body function on earth. The whole point of resurrecting our physical bodies is so we can return to earth.

You're the only one who is reinterpreting like that. None of the bible translations that I've seen translate it in that manner.

Are you saying the transfiguration was a vision? That's a new one on me.

That seems like an attempt to fudge with the syntax and grammar to fit your interpretation.

I'm sure there was some of both, but not everything Israel did was a condemnation. Take the Ark of the Covenant, for example. It's design closely resembles Egyptian shrines, like the Anubis shrine. The Ark of the Covenant can then be seen as polemic to reframe Egyptian beliefs in proper context. In much the same way, I believe the bible reframes Egyptian ideas about the afterlife and puts them in proper biblical context.
I have seen in the past where they move the comma concerning the their on the cross.
Trying to make us think Jesus did not descend to paradise and preach to the captives.

It is appalling that they change God's word.

Ronald thats not how conversations work. If you don't care to engage, just don't worry about it then.

You'll still be wrong concerning the Parable of Lazarus and Rich man. By saying it's not a Parable.

Jesus dictation is a problem.
It is not a Parable.
You are 100% wrong about it.

Lol.

How can I be when Jesus is talking to Pharisees, and not the 12 apostles.

The Purpose of Parables

10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the [a]mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn
So that I [b]should heal them.’
16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

So get out of here with that banter bull hockey, @rebuilder 454.

Its so funny how people argue the bible like it makes them holy or something.

Jesus dictation is a problem.
Let's assume it is a Parable.

The component still SAY THE SAME THING.

Paradise adjacent to hell.
Abraham there. ..ahem, as all ot saints were.
Torment in hell
A place for righteous, and another for wicked.

I forgot what the non paradise doctrine hopes to prove.

Just another doctrine rabbit trail hoping to change the bible

Jehovah witness watchtower most likely.

Let's assume it is a Parable.

there is no assuming.

Read the context.

You're gonna see Jesus talking to the Pharisees.

thats why people need to be encouraged to the read bible. Not just stand on where they sat at for a long time.

That's what proves you wrong.

The rich man and Lazarus has Proper names and locations.
A parable is full of types.
Overflowing with OBVIOUS types.

So DICTATE Jesus basically. I don't got time for all that nonsense.

I've realized that hell people dont even believe what Jesus says half the time, and they just quote it and make it out to be something which could be entirely different.

You are saying Jesus is not allowed to do such things in a Parable basically, you are basically his master now...

Jesus can say whatever he wants concluding a Parable.

Yall got a big problem Ill tell you that.

There is no need to argue that a metaphor can also be seen as a real thing, because this is the use of metaphor, divergent mind map.

Jesus spoke words of Spirit and life—“The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). His parables weren’t just stories; they were spiritual revelations cloaked in metaphor. Without the Holy Spirit, you won’t truly discern what He’s saying.

Sometimes the Pharisees caught on that He was speaking about them—“They perceived that He had spoken this parable against them” (Luke 20:19)—but they still didn’t grasp the full picture. Even the apostles, walking with Him daily, didn’t fully understand until later: “These things His disciples did not understand at first” (John 12:16).

People assume a lot. But if you really want truth, you’ve got to seek it—“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). Otherwise, you’ll just follow your own nature or whatever someone else told you, never questioning it.

This isn’t about arguing. These are reflections—suggestions about how people process truth, belief, and spiritual insight.

You have it backwards as usual. YOU are the one risking eternal Hell fire! Do you even know what Jesus said about THE FIRE, several times? I doubt that you do.

Jack likes to talk to me like I’m some kind of child. And truth be told, a lot of people treat me that way—like I’m just a nuisance.
Maybe I am. I’ve asked God to take my life more than once. But He keeps me here. I don’t know why.
So I’m not here to argue. Banter back and forth is a waste of time. I just want to share truth—especially when it comes to how people speak about Jesus, how they try to dictate who He is, and act like they’ve mastered Him… even mastered the Bible.
But the Spirit? The Spirit overrides all that noise.

Jack,
There is no need to worry all times about people who might be burned at the stake.

6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

The Bible really upsets Matt! Throw away your Satanic literature. Read the Bible. Don't burn FOREVER! You're not gonna like your eternal roommates at all.

Any time you want to calm down and intelligently debate I am ready.

Like I said, pretend it is a parable. What is the message.

Debate what, exactly? That would miss the point entirely—Jesus was still speaking to the Pharisees in that context.
I genuinely wish you well, but I’m not interested in continuing this conversation. Too many people here have shown me they’re not engaging in good faith, and honestly, it’s hard to keep offering respect when it’s constantly disregarded.

You can stay ignored.

Satan LOVES it when his messengers convince people that Luke 16 is a parable!

Matthew 25:41-46
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

If it is a parable...what is the message?

The op runs from that.
Huh?

Anyone able to tell me what the message is?
