And that is where and why, the nice half-doctrine is justified by many. So, your tit, for his tat...doesn't really accomplish anything...well except support his claims because he also listed both the nice and the righteous, not just the nice.
Watch the other videos @Wrangler is posting, listen to his commentary on them, and then go with him if you agree with his claims.

Of course, and that is what he also said. But his point was that niceness is only half. Do you agree that Jesus expressed both and was not just nice, therefore we too should not only be nice?
I think as Christians we do or should have the fruits of the Spirit. That doesn't mean we have to be doormats. However we should always speak the truth in love.

I agree, however the fruits of the Spirit if fully followed, include those of Him who was and is firstfruits of the Spirit. Which is to say, love is first, by all means, and is to be exhausted before, and hopefully, prayerfully, never to come to the righteous wall that we also need to uphold.

Yes I think the rise of 'niceness" as you call it has been happening for a while now. IMO I think this niceness is related to the feminism that has developed in the last decades. The over riding idea is egalitarianism where everyone is the same. A re-construction on Christs oneness in human terms.
As noted at the same time men have lost their identity as being strong and courageous for Christ. They have melted into the background as femininity takes over.
Femininity is naturally softer and nurturing and wants to protect from harm. Unpleasant ideas like punishment and consequences and hell make people feel bad or sad and is seen as cruel and even regarded as doing harm and immoral.
Whereas it use to be that facing the hardships of consequences and taking responsibility was being an adult and growing up. Taught emotional strength in life. Whereas everything is about feelings now.
I think there needs to be nurturing as life is hard. But I also think to balance that out we need to realise that there are consequences for doing wrong and to stop making excuses to protect people and especially young people from lifes and eternal lifes reality.
Understanding that this is out of love. That a loving Father also disciplines for our own good and to help us become stronger and find true joy and peace. This is the example men should be following just as Christ was willing to suffer and be obedient even unto death.
