The Way to Salvation

Salvation is not a single moment of belief but a journey that begins with God's call and continues with faith, obedience, and endurance until the end. Jesus and His disciples taught that true followers of God would remain faithful throughout their lives. This journey unfolds step by step, each guided by Scripture.

God's call is the beginning of salvation. No one comes to Him by their own effort; it is He who draws people to Himself. Jesus declared, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44). This invitation is open to all, as Revelation confirms: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17). Yet, the call must be heard and accepted.
Hearing God’s Word is essential. Jesus said, “He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life” (John 5:24). But hearing alone is not enough. Revelation urges, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” (Revelation 2:7). True hearing leads to action.

The next step is repentance and faith. Jesus warned, “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). Repentance means turning away from sin and surrendering to God. In Revelation, Jesus calls His people to repent: “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent” (Revelation 3:19).
Faith in Christ follows, for “He who believes in Me has everlasting life” (John 6:47). Those who believe are baptized, marking their new life in Christ. Jesus commanded, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved” (Mark 16:16). Baptism symbolizes being cleansed and made new, as Revelation describes: “These are the ones who washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 7:14). This rebirth through water and Spirit is necessary to enter God’s kingdom (John 3:5).

Faith must be followed by obedience. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). Revelation confirms that true believers are those “who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12).
Discipleship requires daily commitment: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23).

Yet, trials will come, and only those who endure will be saved. Jesus declared, “He who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13). Revelation encourages perseverance: “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10). Christ promises that those who overcome will reign with Him: “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne” (Revelation 3:21).
For those who remain faithful, eternal life awaits. Jesus assured, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” (John 10:28). Revelation describes the final reward: “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life” (Revelation 22:14). The faithful will inherit God’s kingdom, as He promises, “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son” (Revelation 21:7).

Salvation is not merely a decision but a lifelong walk with God. It begins with His call, continues with repentance, faith, baptism, obedience, and perseverance, and is completed in eternal life. Jesus' final words echo through time: “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown” (Revelation 3:11). Those who endure will see His face and dwell with Him forever.

I think some may be confused between Justification and Sanctification.
Maybe. Not sure.
They claim to know scripture and theology.

Justification is immediate.
A person decides to worship God.
He has turned from walking toward satan and the state of being lost...
to walking toward God and salvation.
The is what REPENT means...
to change one's mind,
to change one's direction,
to turn around and go the other way.

IMMEDIATELY after justification our journey to sanctification begins.
This is different from justification.
We know claim to know God and to want to worship Him.

Now we get to learn exactly what it is that God wants from us.
Obedience.
Good works for the Kingdom.
Being aware of sin.
Asking forgiveness.

The gospel teaches that we are to
believe
repent
obey

The Path to Salvation

Salvation is not a single moment of belief but a journey that begins with God's call and continues with faith,

Salvation is Jesus on The Cross.

Jesus is Salvation.
Jesus is Eternal Life

He is "THE WAY".......not a Path. John 14:6

A "path" would be a religion.

Barak Obama and Opra Winfrey state that "there are many paths to God", and Hell is filling up with water baptized religious fakirs who tried all the "paths', including trying to work their way to heaven.... and never were born again.
Jesus is not a Religion, He is our Salvation, He is "God's Gift".

thank you! I will correct the title, as a french speaking person I do make these mistakes, Often..

salvation is More than Jesus on the cross, it is to follow him and do as he asks also please remember that, Jesus did say many things like REPENT and insisted on it. Eternal LIfe is granted to those who do as Jesus asks, we either belong to Him or not.

Blessings

th

salvation is More than Jesus on the cross,

Salvatoin is only Jesus on The Cross.
How do you know?
Because there is no other Savior.

What you are describing, is not Salvation......its DISCIPLESHP....
See, our Discipleship begins, when we receive God's Salvation that Jesus has finished on The Cross.
This is why He said fron The Cross......"it is Finished" and died........and this is why after He we back to heaven He 'sat down"....having completed our Salvation.
So, once we RECEIVE from God, the 'Gift of Salvaiton" and are born again..........we then begin our "Discipleship"....which is our constant daily lifestyle that proves we are a become a born again Christian.

Salvation is a FREE Gift from God, and now having it, we then begin our discipleship........not to try to keep Salvation, but because we have RECEIVED it already.

That's completely nonsensical. So we can't lose something we've received? You walk people away from the truth

It depends what you have received. Jesus said that being saved involves being born again. How can you lose birth?

I can't lose God's Salvation.....nor can any believer, as its a Gift from God.

WE can't earn salvation, so we also can't keep it by works....., as Salvation is a GIFT from GOD....and what we do is receive it by Faith.
Once we have it, our sin is forgiven, we are eternally redeemed, and this is proven by being born again.

Being born again, does not mean water baptized.

God's Gift of Salvation is not like a necklace you might lose in the shower.

Try Thinking.
No it's more precious than that but you take it for granted. That's why you need to be ignored

"Believers", who have given God their faith in Christ are "Reconciled to God by the death of His Son".

Water baptism cant do that for you.

See, its by "the obedience of Jesus (going to The Cross) that the believers are made righteous".

Water baptism can't do that for you.

The Way to Salvation

Salvation is not a single moment of belief but a journey

You have no understanding of Jesus on The Cross, as you just defined Him, as a "journey".

That's retarded theology.. That's worse then teaching that water baptism is required for Salvaiton.

Listen up........JESUS is Salvation, and His Sacrifice that is our Salvation...is only found as THE CROSS of Christ, which is the New Covenant, and the Blood Atonement.

That you have have no understanding of this, is very unfortunate for you.

Now, when you falsely teach that Salvaiton is not a "single moment of belief" of "faith" that God's accepts....then you are denying the only way to be saved., which is Faith in Christ, given to God.
God accepts nothing else to save you, as you yourself have nothing that God would accept to save you.

A.) God accepts our Faith, to save us......and this is not a ""Journey""".......its a moment in time when we give God our Faith, and our sins are forgiven and we are given the New Birth.......and become a BORN AGAIN Christian........a "new Creation in Christ".

So, anyone who does not have that moment in time, when you came to Jesus, and trusted Him as your Savior.........if you dont have this in your Past....then you are not saved.
You have to have that moment of encounter with God through Christ when You trusted in Christ and God forgave you all your sin, and gave you the NEW BIRTH........= born again.

That is not a Journey as some cult theologly taught you to believe @LoveYeshua .......that is God's Salvation, who is Christ on The Cross, given to us as "the GIFT of Salvation" by GOD = the very instant we TRUST IN CHRIST.

Excuse me for saying this David Lamb...
but these analogies are really kind of silly.

Scripture is what's needed...not analogies.

How about posting some scripture that states that we cannot lost salvation after being born from above?

Here is some scripture that states that we can:

2 peter 2:20-21
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them.
22 It has happened to them according to the true proverb, "A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT," and, "A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire."

Colossians 1:22-23

22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach -
23 if
indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard,

1 Timothy 4:1
1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

Yes, when you no longer believe that Jesus who saved you, keeps you saved, then you are"""" fallen away from the faith.""
And this happens because someone has led you into a false understanding of God's Grace, using a man made Theology.

So, that is anyone who believes that they can lose their salvation. They are "fallen away from FAITH".... and Paul says you "no longer obey the Truth".

You've become a Self Saver......a SELF RIGHTEOUS person whose faith in Christ is broken.

Obedience indeed.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of ths son and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you.

Hmmm does Jesus command that people believe in him? Does he command that people have faith in him?

This water prefigured baptism which now saves you. It does not do this by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection.

You pledge your good conscience to God through the resurrection in the action of baptism which now saves you just like Peter says. Wake up
