is the kingdom here the man, or the field, do you think? Are tares souls, or thoughts/deeds that evince separation?
There is a price to be paid to belong to the Kingdom.
Have you studied the Kingdom? I have. I feel that if every Christian knew this concept, it would make for a much better world.
Maybe a thread on it???
is not that what i said?ha i love the Book, the way It puts things; there is always another perspective, often indicated by its absence imo. Isn't grace something you give to ppl? i mean granted you must also be able to receive it, ya
A dog is one type of beast. All of us were born beasts or people with beastly natures. What's a spiritual dog?
Re the sin nature.@GodsGrace
A dog is one type of beast. All of us were born beasts or people with beastly natures.
"I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts." Ecc 3:18
All of us as believers and followers of Jesus are to be killing our beasts so as to become like Him.
"Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table." Prov 9:1-2
So long as our beasts live, how like Him can we be?
Certainly! There sometimes may be some difficulty in defining the difference.Re the sin nature.
I must say that I do see a difference between "us" and the world.
Don't you?
see, alla these guys have that already, right

A couple of months ago I watched this documentary on these pyramids that were built to worship "a God". These people went through a life time of work. Every layer of stone were actual tombs with human remains, the next layer set upon it, then the next upon it. Under the pyramid was a water source that looked like a water pool where they would go down to a chamber to sacrifice to what they referred to as "the God" of the deep. These people were serious and dedicated. Out of all the ancient people with all their different beliefs, all the way throughout history, all the different religions and cultures; I began to think: what makes me, someone so small and insignificant and common...believe I have the right God? What makes the God I know...The One True God? That is what the "know" in 1 John 5:13 means to me,
It is not about my being certain of me.
It is my being certain of Him.
I will doubt myself countless times.
I never doubt Him.
That is the confidence. Him.
1 John 5:13
[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
