Just read the Bible , the RomanCC nor anything akin to it, are not representative of the early biblical church as represented in the Bible, no way does it look anything like what is in the Bible.
The Word of God is the only writings given by God, it is the only thing that is Holy scripture, and should be the only authority for believers of Christ Jesus. The beliefs & teachings that are made up by humans, whether bishops, priests or popes or spoken to humans by demonic apparitions is not Holy and it's not the Word of God.
