First off - the definition of "necromancy" is: "Contacting the dead for the purpose of gleaning information about the future." THIS is what the bible forbids - otherwise, Jesus would have been guilty of necromancy at the Transfiguration for speaking to Moses.

Asking a fellow member of the Body of Christ on earth - OR in Heaven to pray for you is not "gleaning information about the future."

Secondly - the BIBLE tells us that the saints in Heaven are "so great a cloud of witnesses" (Heb. 12:1).
A "witness" is somebody who sees and hears - otherwise all you have is a paperweight. The Transfiguration should have taught you that those who leave this world in God's favor are anything BUT dead (Matthew 17:1–8, Mark 9:2–8, Luke 9:28–36).
