Three pillars of redemption

1) God is under no obligation to punish human sinfulness.

2) Jesus died to pay the death penalty of sin for all humankind.

3) God is loving, kind, gracious and merciful toward those created in his own image.

Discussion Questions:

- Is God under obligation to punish human sinfulness?

- Did Jesus NOT die to pay the death penalty of sin for ALL humankind?

- Is God NOT loving, kind, gracious and merciful toward those created in his own image?

Sin is an active rebellion or rejection of God and of his moral standards, so God, as a being of perfect justice , must punish sinner.

Jesus's holiness is more than enough to atone for All the sins that every person who will have lived, by the time of the Day of Judgement, have committed.

That God loves his creation is seen in his giving of laws, sending prophets and of the sending of his Son, as well as in his giving time for people to repent and turn to him.

When I read your post I thought they were good answers,
but then I realized that they described a far away God.
Is that how you see Him?

If you are a Christian, then the Spirit of God is living in you. How much closer do you want God to be.

If I believe that God created me, gave me a body, but was not satisfied with my needs, could I go to any lengths to obtain everything I need, and still expect him to forgive me?

I don't understand why God would not be "satisfied" with your needs.
Needs are needs because you need them.

Sometimes we are deprived of our needs for one reason or another.
We need to trust God to meet our needs. Ask and you will receive.

God is kind to the evil and ungrateful.

Luke 6:35 ESV But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
