A forum is a microcosm of the world. We are in the world, but not to be apart of the world. We must at least try to teach or learn from others and the Holy Spirit within us can spot a fake Christian or a new Christian. Like a bible study, our opinions are "Iron sharpens Iron" to see that light bulb light up after understanding a doctrine for the first time.

This forum is a help from members like yourself and to get discouraged at advertisements and leave this forum and go watch television doesn't make sense to me. If you are sensitive to dissention, then I understand. Don't leave because you've confronted the world of advertisements, after all isn't that what the devil wants you to do, leave? Don't give into the prince of the power of the air.

There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal/pseudo" Christians/there are genuine believers and there are make believers on this site and various other Christian forum sites. The fakes eventually give themselves away. The apostle Paul left us with this warning.
Acts 20:28 - Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Wow, that is difficult to do, to separate yourself from all forms of evil. Separating yourself from an advertisement is just ignoring it, not buying the product, etc. And in this forum _ online _ we are separate from eachother (those non-trinitarians too). We have an ignore button if we have had it with anyone. I have a list of twenty people I ignore....Precious friends, because, obeying God, According To Scripture:

1) I suggested to @GEN2REV the possibility of a separate forum for the
anti-trinitarians who claimed they "joined as christians" to keep them from hijacking the "christian" discussions, but, my "assessment" was incorrect.
ok, I could live with that, as I could still post Encouraging helpful info Of Grace growth for "new-borns" In Christ, but there would simply be no anti-trinitarians around (all being banned) for any interaction (The Gospel Of Grace to the lost?). Ok...
2) Then an offensive (pornographic?) ad popped up, and I thought ok, I can
forgive that once, but IF it happens again (nothing being done to prevent it),
then, for God's Glory, I will have to separate myself from this place.
3) Then the next offensive ad (world's enjoyment of tequila) DID show up,
so now, this is my notice it is "time to depart":

Wouldn't we have to lock ourselves up at home and never go out into the world too? I guess you can't watch TV anymore either- turn it off for good! Do you have kids? Take them out of school, shelter them from the evil education system ( which is getting bad) and teach them yourself at home.
Separating yourself from evil people would be just to not be around them, not follow along and participate in their actions or even discussions. Oh wait, we must cancel missions or any evangelistic attempts or even sharing with these wretched evil folks, the Gospel. To separate ourselves, we must all quit work - there is evil there and more - move out of your evil neighborhood, city and country to an island and live with only Christians - if there is such a place.

Actually, just hold on to your faith in the midst of all this evil and Jesus will remedy the situation pretty soon ... just a little while longer and He will return and fix this world.

A Christian forum is unique in the world of social media. Christians are united together by the Holy Spirit Who is in us. We have a spiritual fellowship unknown to any other group of people.
We come together on a Christian forum much like we go to church. And then we find our church turning into WalMart, and find another church.
That's how I think anyway.

At the beginning of this thread is about the "worldly" advertisements on this forum. Thus the microcosm statement. The world is advertising here. Plus there are non-Christians and cultists here too.
