The word of God which came unto Andrew, son of the prophet Artis, concerning all men who have taken God’s name, which came after the resurrection of Emanuel and before the tribulation.
The Spirit of the Lord indeed warreth with the flesh of man, wherein He enters and no other, and shall not be beaten for He is mighty and patient. Yea, He suffereth long and is neither wearied nor needeth He any rest. And God, as He so promised, doth faithfully chasten those whom He loveth and this He doeth in perfect love; never failing. Therefore and hereby ye shall know a man who has proclaimed Christ as savior and the baptism of the holy Spirit, whether that man be a liar or of the truth, hereby ye shall know him:
For the Lord suffereth not the evil man to be within His courts and doth chastise the child, whom He claimeth as His, till the child sinneth no more that he may stand before his Father where He is, that the child shall neither be ashamed nor be destroyed. And it is the comforter that leadeth a child to that perfection and leaveth out no good thing, but teacheth all understanding and obedience. Yea, He leaveth no thing required of the child unfinished before entrance into the holy rest.
Therefore if one stand before you and claim for himself holiness, obedience to God, and testify that he hath the Spirit for many years and sinneth even still and knoweth not the deeply hidden matters of God and abideth not in wisdom, that same man is a liar. He deceiveth himself or else he deceiveth others and himself.
Thus saith the Lord, thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Who is he that believeth he hath not the Spirit of the living God except he who humbleth himself to make supplication unto the Lord that he may receive Him and the fool who believeth in his heart there is no God at all? These two are the same in that both believe trully that they hath not received the great Teacher, but every man who believeth he hast received the Spirit without supplication hast himself been deceived.
Thus saith the Lord, For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Interesting read. Do you consider this prophesying? I am curious. I have seen this type of commentary other places.

Said in a small package, taking the name in vain is taking it apart from the character. Christ had a defined character.

Jesus said, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Matt 7:12

The entirety of scripture can be summed up in this one sentence. The rest is commentary to help us see why. Some people consider self-righteousness as being righteous. This is a fallacy. Self-righteousness is the same as wickedness. Both require judgment of others. Scripture judges us as truth, revealing our need for the fruits of the Spirit. There seems to be echoes of scripture in much of what you are saying. To me, once a person takes on the name of Christ, the words, thoughts and deeds become a humble deportment reflected in our treatment of others--even enemies. We're all sinners. This is always a reminder to me to be patient with others, but hold firm to the truth. That truth is not that we are righteous by our own works. The truth is that we are made righteous when we see the other person with the eyes of Christ. Judge not and bless those who curse you. Have patience, gentleness, kindness and so on. Galatians 5 and Romans 12 are good guides for this.

I do consider this prophesy for though it be an explanation of commands given long ago the Lord has said "Therefore and hereby ye shall know a man who has proclaimed Christ as savior and the baptism of the holy Spirit, whether that man be a liar or of the truth, hereby ye shall know him"

So then it shall be for a testimony against all those who claim to be sinners saved by grace, even that they may continue in sin and still be saved. What the Lord is saying is that He doesn't have sons that have been baptised in the water and the spirit who still sin. He said it before actually when He said that a slave does not abide in the house, but a son abides. So, then he who is reborn is perfect and sinless, but he who sins still is not yet reborn.

So then it is also a testimony against those who say "No man is perfect" for every man who says this calls God a liar for by His spirit He shall perfect His children. And furthermore we know that every command of God's has become as law so that the man who is not obedient to become perfect "Be ye perfect as my Father in heaven is perfect" has transgressed, not believing in Christ. And we know that he that believes not in Christ shall die in his sins.

There is a hidden aspect to this: Read this thread carefully: The True Meaning of Baptism

There is a paradigm shift that will clarify how you see the saved and lost. None of us are saved until Christ returns (Hebrews 9:28). Salvation is being fished from the waters of life. Where are the wicked today? With the righteous in the waters of baptism (life). We are born to repent.
