What i've learned over much time...., is that the Devil's #1 tool He uses against a person, born again or not, is their : self righteousness.

Self Righteousness, is....in the context of Faith and Christianity....>"trying to make SELF RIGHT with God".
Where as Redemption, SALVATION : is God making you RIGHTEOUS for Eternity...only based on what Jesus has accomplished on the Cross for the "world".


Listen now...

So, what the Devil will do, is ... he will take a person to 3 main verses, or chapters, in the NT< and convince them...""see those verses, they prove you can lose your salvation"".
And when you are listening to him, your self righteousness will COME ALIVE.. !!

The Big Gun, the verses he uses the most, are foremost found in the Hebrews 10:26 area, as that is Paul talking to unsaved Hebrews, (Christ rejecting Jews) and Satan will convince the novice believer looking at those verses, who is not grounded in Grace.... Hebrews 13:9, that these verses are talking to them.
And once the devil has that mind set in place in you, then you have become ruined, faith wise, as its nearly impossible to get out of that wrong belief, once Hebrews 10:26 has become the devil's stronghold in your mind.

Next, is James..... and you have the verses related to "dead faith"..
And the Devil takes the baby Believer to these verses, and convinces them that "dead faith" means : "dead Salvation".
So, once again, if Satan gets that in your circular reasoning pattern as a stronghold, then you are chained. You are in bondage to theological deception.

Then..
Matthew.... the 24th & 25th chapter area, is a total meltdown upon arrival for the Christian novice.
The devil will have you in there.. "enduring to the end" ...to try to keep yourself saved, as your real faith in Christ crashes and burns before you realize it, and afterward, you'll never realize it....you'll just be deceived and stay there.

Now, the worst case, is if Satan has all 3 of these "bondages" in your head, as in that case........ you're helpless.
And ive met very few who can ever come back to real faith, once the Devil has all 3 of those theological circular reasoning Traps as your mental bondage = self righteous theological stronghold.

The reality is...........when a person believes they can lose their salvation, then this means they believe they have more power to lose it, then God has to provide it and finish it. Philippians 1:6.
They are proclaiming that they have more power to end their redemption... than the BLOOD OF JESUS has to continue their eternal redemption.

The problem is PRIDE PRIDE PRIDE... as its an overdose of Pride to compete with the Cross, as if you can add to it YOUR SELF...,.as if God needs our works in addition to the Righteousness of God, who Hung on the Tree, to provide eternal righteousness that is our Eternal Life.

Now, come on folks; what makes more sense?

A) The Devil wants to convince you to NOT sin by making you believe you can lose your salvation.

B) The Devil WANTS you to sin by convincing you that you cannot lose your salvation.

Keep in mind that the possibility of loosing salvation (as the Bible clearly teaches) promotes fear. And fear is needed to prevent sin and hate evil, to begin one’s journey in wisdom and knowledge, to prolong your days:

“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil” (Proverbs 8:13)

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10)

“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.” (Proverbs 10:27)

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.” (Proverbs 16:6)

But those who believe Once Saved Always Saved hate the warning verses and are described here:

“For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:” (Proverbs 1:29)

And thus they never achieve the fruits of this verse:

“let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)
