Transitioning from BELIEVING to KNOWING.

It is the strangest thing! After two thousand years and the establishing of the Christian Bible (to say nothing of Judaism or other beliefs), everyone seems to be set in their ways. I mean like a petrified forest--pillars of stone!

Before that, before this Christian age, there were all kinds of would-be gods people believed in, and only One that stood above the rest. Only One that chose a people and set them on a hill for all others to witness His distinctive difference and His plan to save the world. Only One who could take a world of broken people and resurrect them from otherwise certain death after this short-lived life. And He established a method of communication, of revelations, regarding all His plans. Which method every Christian--and certainly every Jew, should know.

But how many here can actually describe God's method of communication and revelation with humanity? Surely, the question has become like a survey of people on the street asked "Who is the first or present US president?", and nine out of ten don't know the answer; and you wonder why life is so messed up!

I'm not going to give the answer--I'm just not.

Consequently, however, here we are 2,000 years after the words from God from the old and the new testament eras began to be assembled, and all we have done is built a wall to fortify what we all "believe." We're like centuries (for centuries) standing guard on our own towers, big and small. Which, if they were actually stone could be toppled. But no, not our towers--they're solid! So solid, we won't even let God's well established methods penetrate. Which means only one thing--Jesus said it:

“Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down" (Matthew 24:2).​

History repeats itself. But I tell you--it doesn't have to end this way.

Unfortunately, even faith can be shaken. But, yes, we have been warned.

But the point is, as a church, as children of God, as students of the scriptures, as those upon whom the light of God has been cast--we have not learned how each revelation comes to us. And when pressed, most act like they already know everything--like what is only believed to be true, is without question, the truth.

Meanwhile, God has His own method.

For sure, but what would you say is His method--basically His part is, in communicating with us? We communicate with each other by talking or writing, and a multitude of gestures. But how would you describe His communication method(s) with humanity?

You have been kind and loving, so I am going to do what I said I would not:

• The question is: God has a method of communicating and giving revelation that He has established. What is that method?
• The answer, is: Other than the multitude of lesser forms of communicating He has with humanity, His method has been speaking directly with people of His own choosing, or doing so through His servants the prophets.

The reason for asking, and the importance of knowing this now...is because we (His church) seem to have forgotten how God reveals His truth, that we might know what to expect during this time of His revealing those things that were before sealed. It is as if no one even expects God to finished what He promised--like they have all been invited to a great supper, "But they all with one accord began to make excuses." (Luke 14).

I was raised to believe that we had modern day prophets on earth and only they could interpret the scriptures for us, and never to question them. Long story short- they were false prophets and false teachers. While I knew that much, I also had it very much instilled in me that all Christian churches were Satan's churches. So naturally, I had a crippling fear about going to a church or to any man to learn about God. I even trembled at the sight of a cross. (JW religion) My brain was wired to think a certain way - robotic- I had to start from scratch and I knew it, but I had these revolving verses in my head having been taught by rote learning with lockstep conformity- with previous absolute truths from God that changed frequently. I was in crisis, in tatters. I needed my Creator.

So, knowing I had no other options other than to pray, I prayed for God to please give me His truth. I told Him that whatever it was I would accept it - even if on the off chance it was actually the JWs. I just wanted to know only His truth.
From there what I learned was astonishing. I was led to read the scriptures without any watchtower books or magazines.
( a huge no no for a Jw).-- It was me and prayer and tears and the bible. I held onto the promise that He would not give me a serpent when I asked for a fish.
Luke 11: 9And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. 11And of which of you that is a father shall his son ask a loaf, and he give him a stone? or a fish, and he for a fish give him a serpent? 12Or if he shall ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion? 13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

He would not give me a serpent! I did what Jesus said, and I asked for the Holy Spirit. That night, the words of the bible opened up for me, and spoke to my heart, and I was able to understand what I was reading. * I saw Jesus. I saw love and forgiveness and grace. This was all brand new to me. I never knew anything like this. I read all night In joyous shock. I literally CRIED out, Abba Father.

So for me- many years later- I still read the scriptures and pray and ask God to help me when I don't understand. Sometimes it's an answer in 5 minutes, sometimes 3 months, etc., but what happens is God makes me know while I am reading the scriptures. I don't have that question anymore, I know deep down in my soul. It did not come from me. I have called it "a knowing".

Other times, His Spirit has spoken to me while I am not studying, but going about day to day life, and I hear a verse clearly in my head that was not my thought, it interrupted my thoughts, and it clicks a teaching perfectly together- there is my answer. Again, it's that deep down in my soul -a knowing with surety. Sometimes that really feels like a smile from heaven.

There have been other times where it is clear that God speaks to me through another believer. 'It's not a coincidence that's for sure. He makes me know in my spirit. So my answer is by His Spirit.

Please don't get me wrong, I don't have answers to many things, and I've learned patience and humility because of that. Be still and know that I am God is a wonderful refuge. I rather prefer it this way, as it keeps me humbled and seeking His face, and I stay out of futile arguments that way. I just hold tight to what I have been given so far.

Many false teachers abound and it seems to get worse by the day, and I think there is a lot of frustration due to that, and the world is sinking further from God, but I can go outside and hear the birds singing happily, and I know that my God is still in charge no matter what.
I see a lot of fleshly teachings here- strife and pride not by the Spirit but the flesh.

Where that leaves us...is at the end of the reign of false teachers--though there are still many who linger, at that place where Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would lead us unto all truth, and the finish of the mystery of God as He declared to His servants the prophets. My asking the question here and now, is to bring to mind--to remember after all this time of delusion, just how it is that God advances with His revelations, and how He would surely finish with what was sealed until just before the end, as He does not change.
