Well then, one who sees it that way can't defend the writings in the book as being of God.

The Qur'an was written in Arabic. It can only be understood by understanding Arabic.
Translated into any other language causes a loss of the message.

Plus there are at least 26 different Qurans. A Muslim burned alot of Qurans in order to consolidate into one Quran. However the other ones survived....and they have different meanings here and there. Not words meaning the same thing, but different meanings.
