The Problem
God is perfectly holy and without sin. Humanity is sinful and falls short of His glory. Sin creates a barrier resulting in spiritual death and eternal separation from God. This has been inherited by all people since Adam and Eve. We cannot save ourselves, we need a Savior. Our Lord Jesus Christ bridged this separation, conquered death, and reconciled us to God.
The Gospel
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, without beginning or end, fully God and fully human. Born of a virgin between 6-4 BC as prophesied. He appeared in flesh to Adam, Eve, and Abraham long before His virgin birth, demonstrating His eternal existence. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. He committed no single sin (zero) in His entire earthly existence.
He then, in 30 AD, willingly died once-for-all on the cross for all our sins, past, present, and future, of every human who has ever lived. He who knew no sin bore the sins of every human who has ever lived, in His physical body on the cross, and the punishment we deserve. He was buried, confirming His physical death.
Three days later, God the Father resurrected our Lord Jesus from the dead, proving His once-for-all sacrifice was accepted and that sin and death are conquered. After appearing to many witnesses over 40 days, He ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. The work is finished.
Salvation is completely accomplished by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a free gift, not of your work, but His finished work. This is the Gospel: Who He is, the Son of God, Messiah, and what He has done for you, His death, burial, and resurrection. Believe this. Put your hope in Him. Trust it alone to save you. You will be saved.
Descent and Victory
Upon His death, Jesus declared, "It is finished!" Between His death and resurrection, His body rested in the tomb, but His spirit descended into the realm of the dead. He did not suffer there. It had two parts: Paradise for the saved, and Torment for the unsaved and fallen angels.
He proclaimed His victory over the fallen angels from Genesis 6, who are imprisoned awaiting judgment. This was not a second chance, it was a declaration of triumph. He liberated the Old Testament saved people who were waiting in the former Paradise and, after His resurrection, brought them to the third heaven.
He rose with full authority over death, the afterlife, and Sheol/Hades. Now, when a believer dies, their spirit goes immediately to be with the Lord in heaven, awaiting for the glorified body in the first resurrection.
The Moment You Believe
The moment you place your faith in His death, burial, and resurrection to save you, your spirit is cleansed of all sin by His blood. Then the immortal seed, which is the Word of God, the eternal life, the eternal life source of our Lord Jesus Christ, enters your spirit and brings it to life. It becomes a new creation, a new birth with eternal life. Then your spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit. It all happens instantly.
You were once born in the flesh; your spirit being born makes it a second birth. Hence born again, in your spirit, as a new creation, sinless, and cannot sin.
What Salvation Is Not
Salvation is NOT by: being good, doing good, good works, water baptism, asking forgiveness for sins, evidence required, attending church, fruit to prove it, turning away from sins, transformation to verify it, following laws, or rituals. None of that. Only faith alone in the Gospel saves you.
All people are sinners; nothing good dwells in the flesh. Even after salvation, the flesh will keep sinning.
Saved by God's Grace Alone
We are saved by God's grace through faith alone in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace means receiving something good that you did not earn and do not deserve. A gift, not a wage.
Salvation is grace because: You did not earn it. You do not deserve it. You cannot work for it. You cannot pay for it. You cannot maintain it
If any of those things were required, it would no longer be grace; it would be a debt. Once you have it, you cannot lose it, because it was never yours to keep by your own effort. It is God's gift, and He does not take it back. The moment you believe the true Gospel. God gives it to you freely, and is freely received, with no strings attached. It is yours forever.
Grace is offensive and scandalous. It offends every human sense of justice. It violates everything we think is fair.
The wicked, the most vile you can imagine, and all sinners, who believes in the true Gospel is saved. The wicked who does not believe in the true Gospel is condemned.
The righteous, the morally upright, the religious, the churchgoer, the good person, who does not believe in the true Gospel is condemned. The righteous who believes in the true Gospel is saved.
It is not about who you are. It is not about what you have done. It is not about what you do in the future. It is not about how good or how bad you have been or will be. It is about one thing: Do you believe in the true Gospel alone?
Once Saved, Always Saved, Eternal Life
Nothing can cause a believer to lose their salvation. Once saved, forever saved. No sin, voluntary or involuntary, can undo what God has sealed. We were never good enough to earn heaven, and we can never be bad enough to lose it. God's gifts are irrevocable, and He cannot lie. Even if a believer's faith wavers or fails, God remains faithful, He cannot deny His own Spirit now living inside them. It is impossible to lose your salvation once you are saved.
Chastisement
God disciplines His children on earth through chastisement, loving correction, not punishment. This may include physical weakness, sickness, or even early physical death for unrepentant sin in the flesh, but the born-again spirit remains 100% sealed. King David committed murder and adultery, faced severe earthly consequences, but never lost his salvation. Good deeds bring heavenly rewards; a wasted life results in loss of rewards, never loss of salvation.
Sonship
Sonship is established once, by faith alone in the Gospel. You become His child, and He sees you as His own. It is a legal, permanent, irreversible adoption into God's family. This is eternal and unconditional.
The term "sonship" is used in Scripture to convey the legal and relational status of being a child of God. It is not gender-exclusive, it is a biblical term of inheritance and authority. Both male and female saved believers are fully adopted into God's family and share equally in the inheritance of Christ.
Fellowship
Fellowship is maintained by obedience. It results in crowns and rewards in heaven, and it can be broken by sin. When fellowship is broken, God chastises His child out of love, not condemnation. To restore fellowship and reduce chastisement on earth, simply acknowledge your wrongdoing. That is it. No ritual. No begging. No earning your way back.
Fellowship and Sonship are fully separate. Salvation is permanent. Fellowship is temporary, a daily walk. If fellowship is never restored, you are still 100% secure because your born-again spirit remains sealed. But you will lose rewards in heaven.
Confess
"Confess" (Greek homologeō) means "to say the same thing" or "to acknowledge." It is simply agreeing with God about your wrongdoing in your head. It is not a ritual to stay saved. It is not asking for forgiveness for sins or turning away from sins. It is an acknowledgment to restore fellowship and reduce chastisement on earth. No begging. Just acknowledgment in your head.
Repent
"repent" (Greek metanoia) means having a "change of mind" upon hearing or reading the true Gospel. It is the one-time change from unbelief to belief in the Gospel. It does not mean asking for forgiveness for sins or turning away from sins.
The Two Distinct Natures
The born-again spirit is the inward person, made alive at faith. It is a new creation, sinless, and cannot sin. It is eternally secured for heaven and for the new glorified body.
The physical body (flesh) remains corrupt and sinful. It will continue to sin after getting saved. Nothing good dwells in the physical body. Sins committed by the flesh cannot affect the born-again spirit, because it cannot sin.
These two distinct natures in a believer are fully separate and are in constant conflict with each other until we die and receive the new glorified physical bodies.
The Two Distinct Baptisms
Spiritual baptism is the internal, instantaneous work of God at the moment of faith. His blood cleanses the spirit of all sins, the immortal seed enters in, and the Holy Spirit seals the born-again spirit into the body of Christ. This saves.
Physical water baptism is an external symbol performed by man, a public testimony. It does not save and is not required.
The Two Distinct Resurrections
The First Resurrection is for the saved: at Christ's return, dead believers rise and living believers are raptured, both receiving glorified sinless bodies. The second death has no power over them.
The Second Resurrection is for the unsaved: they are raised after the Lord's millennial reign on earth to face the Great White Throne Judgment.
The Two Distinct Judgments
The Judgment Seat of Christ Bema is for saved people only. It is not a punishment but an evaluation for rewards only. Works are tested by fire: faithful service is rewarded; worthless works are burned. The believer is still saved. There may be momentary holy sorrow over wasted opportunities, but God wipes away every tear.
The Great White Throne Judgment is for unbelievers, the unsaved people who do not believe in the true Gospel. They are judged by their works, which cannot save them, and cast into the lake of fire.
The Two Distinct Books
The Book of Life contains everyone physically born. Names are blotted out at physical death for unsaved.
The Lamb's Book of Life contains only saved people. Names are written at the moment of salvation and can never be blotted out, protected by the Lamb's blood.
