Right this thread is about the British government and what is happen NOW !!!!
I just watched Prime ministers question time at my dads, what a rowdy uncontrollable bunch of adults. The speaker had to endeavour to sort the noise out and had to expel to members because of how they were acting, seriously and these people are in charge !
I haven’t always warmed to the labour leader, but today he was quite amusing in his responses to Boris !

@Rita...........If they are precipitating a no confidence vote against their own Prime Minister, then it sounds as if the Conservatives are now expecting The Queen to choose their next leader.....as in 1963, when Macmillan resigned and they got Sir Alec Douglas-Hume.

Not sure it works like that now Farouk, I think many would prefer the primeminister to go now rather than wait until sept.

We Brits voted him into office on the strength of two of his promises-
1- That he'd finally get us out of the clutches of the EU
2- That he'd finally stop the massive flow of illegal immigrant scroungers.
He delivered on 1, but not on 2, so we patriotic Brits feel betrayed and won't be sorry to see him go.
It remains to be seen whether his replacement will be any better, Rishi Sunak seems the best bet because he was a Brexiteer, but he's a Hindu and his parents were Indian immigrants so I hope he won't be soft on the illegals.
He's rolling in money and owns a big villa and has business interests (his father-in-law is a billionnaire) which ordinary Brits might not like.

Personally I've got a secret crush on Penny Mordaunt to take over, she's got Navy service and discipline and is far prettier than Sunak..

1. Roe v Wade and Federal abortion overturned, banned in like 25 states

2. Government funded school choice, including religious schools of choice

3. Prayer in public places is constitutional, coach was fired from a school district for praying on the field, the court ruled in his favor

4. Open and concealed weapon carry now allowed in all 50 states, criminals beware

Just heard this morning that she has a strong leading to the trans issues and gender recognition, apparantly this is one of the things that is being brought up when the committee was asking the candidates questions, along with questions on tax cuts, education, nhs, Brexit, and the environment.
There is a tv debate with the contenders on Monday 18 ( sky news ‘ Battle for NO.10 ) It doesn’t state a time yet.

I read it on a sky news report, it didn’t really say much other than she had strong leading and explained that she wanted to change pregnant women to pregnant persons. I couldn’t find much out either but perhaps more will come to light on the debate on Monday as I am sure she will still be in the running.

I think the problem is that none of the leaders are worth voting for in the U.K. , so many have just become fed up with trying to work out who to vote for ……or at least that appears to be the subject of debate when an election arises. The ordinary person on the street doesn’t trust any of them. Not sure if @ByGraceThroughFaith would agree, but it’s certainly that way where I live.
