I've used up nearly 70 years of time. There's a record in heaven of all my days. I'm taking up space and existing in an environment that is shaping my experience. The effect of this is factored back into the environment, not just physically but also abstractly.

Earth rotation and orbit. Busy people. Bible study groups. Strange ideas. Tasks to perform.

Hypocrisy looms large in the Universe. Like everyone I contribute to it, but what a disappointment to see how relentlessly it uses up the Universe. I have the Midas touch. Everywhere I go. Everyone I see. Everything I do, hypocrisy is there, everpresent, working tirelessly to use up the Universe.

Ironically it's customary to ignore hypocrisy and politely pretend it isn't using up the Universe at all.

well, I think hypocrisy uses us up. The Universe is a big place; I doubt whether hypocrisy uses it up. :)

There are several evocative images online that attempt to visualize the apocalyptic language of 2 Peter 3:10–12, where “the elements shall melt with fervent heat.” Here are a few you might find compelling:

Bible Art – 2 Peter 3:10–12
This digital artwork portrays a dramatic cosmic upheaval: the heavens ablaze, the earth dissolving into molten forms, and structures consumed by fire. It’s a vivid interpretation of the passage’s transformative power and spiritual urgency.

Book Cover – “The Elements Shall Melt With Fervent Heat”
This publication’s cover art often features fiery, end-times imagery—symbolic of divine judgment and purification.

YouTube Visuals – 2 Peter 3
Some video interpretations use animated sequences of stars collapsing, cities engulfed in flame, and the sky rolling back—drawing from both biblical text and modern apocalyptic imagination.

"...using up the universe"? I don't quite get what you mean.
The stars are burning themselves out and planets just big rocks rotating around them. Our sun serves it's temporal purpose. We don't have any effect on the outer universe. It does seem like a lot of wasted space - having no life out there. It was just made for us to gaze at and ponder at God's magnificent creative power and fine tuning. The macro cosmos is amazing. But living organismswe are put together with much more creative complexity than the universe.

The days are numbered for our physical universe. 2 Peter 3:10 describes the 1st earth and 1st heavens (atmosphere + outer universe) passing away. This would be after the Millenial Kingdom. Then the New Jerusalem will be our new earth/heaven. No need for a sun, moon, universe. It is hard to conceive, but it will be a multidimensional reality, all with purpose. "All former things have passed away".( Rev. 21:4)
