As it becomes possible for a believer to live from a mind that is not vanity, you know what that does in life, it makes a difference. Most of the time what you do will make little impact on someone. Yes we have our celebrities we look up to but that is not what makes a difference. Making a difference is when you can help someone and that someone can have change. It may be in salvation, or it may be in a christian life, but it makes a difference. Love is kind the scripture says, love is pure and patient. Love is alot of things but you make the difference because you do not live as other gentiles live! Glory to God.
You may be of a Jewish background and live like other gentiles, as a christian. How is that possible? Because you live from the vanity of the mind. Vanity of mind has an outreach for every person on the planet, it leaves no stone unturned. No one is exempt, it will be your toughest competitor for knowledge and knowing Christ. In vanity of mind if we do not know something we will make it up, we make something up and hope it gets bought, and if it does not get bought we will still stand and fight for the right to be right. That is vanity of mind.
It's not you, you are not evil, you are not bad, it is the mind that has dealt with a lieing sinning nature all your life (at least until born again) and that is our competition for living true mind renewal life.
How could Paul say "the life I now live is Christ." Because of mind renewal, Paul had to have his mind renewed just like you and just like me, he was no different.
