Nationally, by-mail voting constituted 23.7 percent of all votes cast in the 2016 election. Approximately 80.1 percent of absentee ballots that were transmitted to voters were returned and processed, with 1.4 percent of transmitted ballots returned as undeliverable and 2 percent reported as spoiled (e.g., the voter returned the ballot and asked for a replacement).

Ninety-nine percent of absentee ballots categorized as “returned and submitted for counting” were ultimately counted in the 2016 election. Table 1 provides information about the reasons for rejecting a ballot as reported by the states and territories. The most common reasons for rejection in 2016 were missing the deadline, the signature on the ballot not matching the signature on the state’s records, and the ballot not having a signature. Some of the categories include several reasons for ballot rejection. For example, the category “problem with return envelope” covers reasons such as the envelope was returned but was missing the ballot or multiple ballots were returned in one envelope.​

Only 80% were returned AFTER being REQUESTED. Now there's no request. Meaning that even lower numbers will be returned or accepted.

That's votes that Joe needs to win these margin states.
And those unreturned and unrecordable votes just might cost him this election.

Our Constitution doesn’t stipulate how many justices there should be. In the 40s, Democrat FDR talked about packing the Court, but neither party has done this up to this point.

I read it to mean 20% of the people who requested ballots didn't send them back. The people who did return their ballots didn't have much of a problem since 99% of them got counted.

The problem for Republicans is that right now, more Democrats have already voted by mail. That means nothing can be done to change their votes.
Ads don't matter for that group of people, neither will the debates.

I see another reason Republicans should be concerned. More Republicans seem to want to vote in person; but Republicans also tend to be older than Democrats. If coronavirus starts to peak again, how many elderly people will want to go vote? Coronavirus started off earlier this year in mostly Democratic states. Right now, the situation is different. If Republicans are scared to go vote in Texas, Biden could win there -- and coronavirus is still high in Texas. There are other states which went for Trump in 2016 where he still has the lead in the polls; but if his supporters don't go vote, he could lose in those states.

Okay so remaining thoughts this is what I basically thought,.. Kamala was rude as heck and even though I haven't heard all of Trump's interviews you can bet that she was taking most of everything if not all of his words out of context, and although Pence seemed like he was trying to hog the spotlight it's because he didn't have nearly as much time to talk as Kamala. Kudos for him on saying that China is the source for our problems with the Coronavirus. As for Kamala,.. all these imaginary plans and promises kept from Joe Biden,.. I didn't have a clue what she was talking about.

No I was not confusing the words- I listened to the debate and I disagree with the conclusion reached with regards to ‘ who ‘ Europeans ‘ ( which kind of includes the UK still !!!!! ) respect more. Really sorry but the rest of your post is really nothing to do with the part that I was addressing. I was simply stating that it’s an assumption that has no basis. Even before this year Chinese leaders have not been high on the list of respected leaders over here. Why on earth would we respect any of them given the way they treat the people.
