I don't think so, Genesis 2:

17a you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
I'd assume that this was a species of tree in itself. Eve and Adam ate the fruit from this particular species of tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil which no longer exists.

From a natural standpoint I can see what you believe, I however believe the tree of knowledge of good and evil is just another descriptive of Satan.

When he is being cunning he is the serpent.
When he is a adversary to God he is Satan.
When he is being tempting, he is the devil.
When he is starting wars he is the dragon.
When he was a Cherub protecting the mercy seat he was Lucifer..

Same person three different titles.
My dad was a husband, a father, and a private investigator, three titles same person..

Therefore when he was in the garden looking all good and pleasant, he was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Peace

Figs.:IDK:

Jeremiah 24:1-3

[1]The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
[2]One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

[3]Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

(LOL)

And although I don't care for figs ....I really don't believe it was a fig. lol
But this is interesting.... :)

It was simply "the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."

This is a non issue. the point is not what kind of fruit, or if it even had the powers it was said to have. The point was God said don't eat the fruit of that tree, and they chose to eat.
