Were angels ever people?

"We were made a little lower than the angels." Does that mean people can't rise up?

If you look at the verse I quoted from I Corinthians, it suggests that after the resurrection we will indeed be "higher" than the angels! Because God will raise us up to reign with Christ over all creation. But that's not the same as being turned into angels.

Yes we humans ARE created beings sir. We are not "eternal beings" as that would make us God Himself, who has no beginning and has no end. Better do a bit more looking into this I suggest.

I guess my definition wasn't clear. God created Adam from the dust of the earth (you and I weren't) and we are decedents of Him through man. We have a Mother and Father. Angels were created.

No, angels were never humans. How do we know? In the book of Job, it says that the sons of God applauded the material creation, which means that they were created first.

Job 38:4-7….God asked Job….
”Where were you when I founded the earth?
Tell me, if you think you understand.
5 Who set its measurements, in case you know,
Or who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 Into what were its pedestals sunk,
Or who laid its cornerstone,
7 When the morning stars joyfully cried out together,
And all the sons of God began shouting in applause?”

These “sons of God” were individually created, whereas humans reproduced, like other earth dwelling creatures. All of those “souls” created by God to live on earth, were mortal.
Angels are not souls….they are spirits. (Heb 1:14)

Humans were not created until the end of the 6th day, so angels were watching creation with great interest.
1 Peter 1:11-12….speaking of the prophets of old, Peter said…..
“They kept on investigating what particular time or what season the spirit within them was indicating concerning Christ as it testified beforehand about the sufferings meant for Christ and about the glory that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were ministering, not to themselves, but to you, regarding what has now been announced to you by those who declared the good news to you with holy spirit sent from heaven. Into these very things, angels are desiring to peer.”

Revelation 19:10….when the angel gave the apostle John this final revelation from God…..
“At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing to Jesus. Worship God; for the bearing witness to Jesus is what inspires prophesying.”

Angels are” fellow slaves” of those humans who serve God on earth.

We are created in the womb. And btw, we are descendants of that dust. Specifically dust of the earth is the dirt which contains 17 minerals that we are made of.

I wasn't intending to make a distinction. We neither become angels (automatically, or by our own efforts) nor are turned into them (by God).

This seems like a completely silly question, but in this day and age where you have people thinking they are furys - well I better not get started on that type of thing.

A better question might be if angels are still being made/created? Of course that is a different question for a different OP.

And another question might be how often should a person expect to hear from an angel sent by the Lord to minister to us? And if they are sent to minister to us can we ask the questions? For example, we could ask them if they ever appear to us to be people?

Actual “Mormon” here: nope, LDS Christian theology is different than what Roderdock is saying or anyone else here. “Angel” is a job description literally meaning “messenger”. It’s not the delineation of another species. We do believe that everyone was spiritually alive before the earth was made- it was made for us. God is amazing and wonderful because His infinite wisdom and goodness, not because of whenever anyone’s birthdate year is.

I'll give a first person account. God allowed me to see an Angel standing over me last year. invisible to humans, but God lifted the blinders off for a little bit.. Next, I was standing in line to get my drivers license, the line was out the door and I was last. I saw a thin, 6'5 woman with a vintage dress and veil over her mouth, that had tassels, walk out of the drivers office, not talk to anyone( I was watching) until she/he looked straight at me and said "you know Jesus don't You" . After my pause shock, I said "yes I do". She/ he nodded and kept on walking. In my spirit I knew it was an Angel. I have more stories to I could tell you; so Angels are out there among us, just like the Apostle Paul said.

The Bible can't tell you everything - it would take an infinite number of pages to do that. The Bible doesn't tell you not to put your hand on a hot stove, but you best not do it.

That kind of truth is not the truth that applies to salvation , holiness , righteousness . NOW that the BIBLE can tell you .
However , with that being typed , technically it does . FOR is it not written
can a man walk upon hot coals and his feet not be burned . YEAH if its hot DONT TOUCH IT .

Just always remember , though WE , or even an angel preach any other gospel unto you than the true gospel of CHRIST JESUS ,
yeah let him be accursed . For even satan can appear as an angel of light .
