* Shout out to my Alma Mater which made this reading of scrolls possible *

I’m currently reading Jesus Before Christianity, written by Albert Nolan.
It will be interesting to compare what this Roman Catholic author has to say about the Jewish Jesus with what Robert Aron, a Jewish author, said about the Jewish Jesus.
Reading is a tremendous investment. It devours hours. Maybe the time spent will reap tremendous dividends — and maybe not.
Why spend your time on things of little value? You have to pick through a lot of ordinary, mundane pebbles to find a gem. Oh is wonderful when you find a gem, but oh so many hours of rock picking.
“Sure, once in awhile you can find something edible by sifting through a trash can, but why do it?” (Jim Rohn)
The library of a lamb consists of the HOLY BIBLE . Yeah , let all that has breath praise the glorious Lord .“To know a man’s library is, in some measure, to know a man’s mind.” - Geraldine Brooks
I’m currently reading Jesus Wars: How Four Patriarchs, Three Queens, and Two Emperors Decided What Christians Would Believe for the Next 1,500 Years, written by Philip Jenkins.
I wonder if the caption should have read, "Reading can seriously increase your ignorance." Particularly when you do no fact checking of what you read. Book with titles of, "The earth is flat," is one book that would increase our ignorance if we accepted the "fact" it presented.
The purpose of the thread is to encourage people to read more. What are you reading these days?

If your Bible looks like this… don’t just sit there; do something about it. Read!
As for me, there’s just a few days remaining in this year’s Bible reading plan. It’s been a good change up (once through the Old Testament, twice through the New Testament) but beginning on January 1 I’ll be returning to my preferred daily reading plan - chronological order. I’ll be using The One Year Chronological Bible from Tyndale House Publishers Inc. I invite my audience to join me in reading the scriptures - Old Testament and New Testament - following this plan.
If not this plan, then choose another.
If not with me, then with someone else; or on your own.
