I’m currently (re)reading A Wideness in God’s Mercy, written by Clark H. Pinnock

* All the books I have to read and want to read. Why this one (again)? It’s been on my mind for a couple of months. Surely, not without reason. *

Since you've quoted Pinnock in a couple of your threads (and because Amazon had it in "used but good condition" with free shipping for $6.78), I decided to order A Wideness in God's Mercy.

I ran across Pinnock many years ago in another forum in the context of a discussion of what's called "Open Theism" (in contrast to some of the more problematic issues with Calvinism). I had considered getting Pinnock's The Openness of God as a representative text on the subject, but instead settled on some highly forgettable book by another author. A regrettable mistake. The Flame of Love about the Holy Spirit looks like it also might be something I'd find interesting.
