“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matthew 11:12) (KJV 1900)

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) (KJV 1900)
“Jesus answered, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)
“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” (John 18:36) (KJV 1900)
“And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:” (Luke 17:20) (KJV 1900)

“He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,” (Colossians 1:13)
It's like repeatedly knocking on a door - but nobody's home . . .People cannot do good works unless they are good by God's standard. And he says none are righteous. Only the born again can rise above the sinful motives behind all good works of the flesh.
Well i am not well studied, does some people no good. You yourself said God doesnt speak to man, so if he doesnt what has the Holy Spirit to do with you,What makes you think I don't believe what I say? I've paid a lot in trial and suffering for what I believe. And am well studied before saying anything you read coming from me.
How do you know you are not schizophrenic hearing voices? Have you ever had yourself checked out?Well i am not well studied, does some people no good. You yourself said God doesnt speak to man, so if he doesnt what has the Holy Spirit to do with you,
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
so if God has nothing to say, neither has He.
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
and if not God that only leaves yourself and teh devil..
You are coming up more empty handed, now using insults to make your case. It's like repeatedly knocking on a door - but nobody's home . . .
Just because a person isn't performing "good" (godly) works - doesn't mean they are engaging in "evil".
Some people are sleeping. Some are eating. Some are just going to the bathroom. NONE of those things are evil.
Your arguments are getting more and more pathetic . . .
WRONG.
You are coming up more empty handed, now using insults to make your case.
A protestant is just one who protest against the Roman Catholic Church.
A protestant maybe correct in many things but most may not know what the Catholic Church is.
How is a person saved according to your church's teaching? If they are wrong on this, perhaps they are wrong on everything else too?Pot calling out the Pot...
That's amusing.
So - you think Jesus is "absurd"??See post 225.
BreadofLife, YOU stated that to be sinful, there must be a "wrong motive."
I simply pointed out the undeniable absurdity of such a limitation.
No - YOU are simply presenting more impotent scenarios in a desperate attempt to win an argument that cannot possibly be won on the merits of Scripture. You are coming up more empty handed, now using insults to make your case.
Good works are bad unless purified by faith. Even eating: “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23) (KJV 1900)No - YOU are simply presenting more impotent scenarios in a desperate attempt to win an argument that cannot possibly be won on the merits of Scripture.
Oh Brother. How confused can you get?Good works are bad unless purified by faith. Even eating: “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23) (KJV 1900)
Tell Paul that when you see him.Oh Brother. How confused can you get?
You keep cherry-picking and pitting Scripture against itself - and you continue to FAIL.Good works are bad unless purified by faith. Even eating: “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23) (KJV 1900)
Even the best works are sin if not done to glorify God in faith. You keep cherry-picking and pitting Scripture against itself - and you continue to FAIL.
Jesus our Lord said the following:
John 9:41
Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, 'We see,' your sin remains.
He was speaking about the ignorance of sin. In other words - sin is about INTENT.
It doesn't happen by "accident".
Enough with your nonsense already . . .
