Some people make the assumption that spirits look like we do. But is that correct? So then spirits ages as we do so they fit into our bodies? Infants are pretty small. Or are they like a star of light?

they can be seen by other spirits. so perhaps someone can see them if God permits spiritually? we can afterall hear spirits spiritually.

Don't know. and God has considered it irrelevant for us to know in this life. If it was important for us to know, He would have made sure it made it in Scripture.

The expression 'our spirit' or 'the spirit' is not an entity, it is the term used for our consciousness.

This question has no biblical answer even the Apostles could not answer this question. When the Lord comes to call us home only then will we know the answer to this question. We can assume all we want but can not say with a biblical answer it just is not there.
I dont know. All Jesus said is you could tell people by their fruit. Some people are judgemental, hateful, they look down on others. Some people are meek, gentle, humble. One is caused by the flesh, one is caused by Christ. What the spirit of man looks like I dont know. You can see jesus resurrected from death, but he had to come back to be seen psychally, to be know to have been raised from the dead by God. He phased in and out of rooms it seems. But ultimately idk, devin.
1 Corinthians 12: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
I would think seeing spirits may be part of the discerning of spirits.

It is the message they are giving that is important, not how they look.
Satan can disguise him self as an angel of light, how by just looking do you tell which spirit is from God And which is from the devil?
I suppose spiritual discernment could work any number of ways. For instance God could show you with your spiritual eyes what a spirit actually looks like. The true nature of it's spiritual image.
I think seeing Satan as an angel of light is actually Satan showing you something. Remember he did show Jesus things which were temptations.
Our flesh body is replicant of our soul. In the bible. The angels were young. Around 30 or 35.
When person dies in the flesh. Thier soul is exactly the same in the Dimension that God is in.
Corinthians chapter 5 . To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
And some people who experience NDES. They lie about it.
Why would anyone do that.??
Because they saw sheol. And their pride is tarnished by it. Narcissist wont admit to anything.
Ever hear of false humility??.
They wont admit that they went to sheol and came back.
Pride is factor.

OP ^God IS an Eternal “Spirit”…
God HAS Seven “Spirits”
Angels ARE “Created” spirits…
Men ARE “Created” and HAVE a spirit.
That which IS a Spirit, (God/Angels) HAS the POWER to APPEAR in the LIKENESS “AS” a man. (And at “THAT” time a man CAN visibly SEE a Spirit.)
** A natural born (OF a mans SEED) mans “spirit”, “IS” that mans “TRUTH”, (in his Heart).
** A supernatural born “AGAIN” (OF Gods SEED), mans “spirit”, “IS” Gods “TRUTH”, (in that mans “circumcised new Heart”. )
Thus…a mans “spirit” IS NOT A PHYSICAL or MYSTICAL form or shape human men can SEE with their human EYES.
Human men CAN SEE, behaviors, results of another mans words and actions…
Determining IF such behaviors, words, actions DO or DO NOT parallel Christ Jesus’ teaching of Righteous Behavior….IF THEY DO or DO NOT….the other man OBSERVING…
Can Know that man BY his Fruits (behavior)…
Righteous or Not.
Man was Created and Made in Gods “LIKENESS” and “IMAGE”.
Gods “LIKENESS” is He “HAS” a spirit, as do men.
Jesus’ “IMAGE” was revealed … Head, Face, Neck, two arms, two legs, hands, feet, trunk, in the same fashion AS a man.

I think their idea was that Peter's spirit looked like Peter.
