10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. The Cross is where God's righteousness is Given. = John 3:16-17
See "The gospel of the Grace of God" for your Salvation.
Accept no substitutes.
But if you want to play Episkopos's game of OT Jew , before the CROSS as your idea of going to heaven, then you have a reality check up ahead.
10 Mercy and truth are met together;
“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, 35 but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.Jesus on the Cross to accept you
“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, 35 but in every nation the one who fears
God is not looking for your FEAR.
He’s not looking for something he put in you???
Do you understand ANY of the parables? Men have taught you a misshapen thing that will harm you if you don’t stop condemning what you don’t understand and keep insisting that you are all knowing.God is not looking for your FEAR.
God is looking for your FAITH in His SON, as = "Faith is counted as righteousness, and you are Justified by Faith, without works". "even as our Father Abraham was Justified".
Jesus is the ONLY Way to the Father......John 14:6..... not your fear, your Law, or commandment keeping, or your self righteousness, or Episkopos's hybrid Calvinistic theology.
Here is how you go to Heaven, Stunnedbygrace.
Jesus said..... "you must be born again" and you can't do that for yourself.
Do you understand ANY of the parables?
If God didn't send Jesus here to be the Savior of the world then just keep worrying about fear
and law, and commandments
and trying to stay saved
You don’t understand the parables. The Cross of Christ is God's Son... bleeding and dying for all your SIN.
If you dont have this Sacrifice for your sin, before you die, then you face God, unforgiven.
That is the unpardonable sin, you just committed.
If you die never having been born again, you die un-pardoned, and then if you tried to tell God what you think Salvation is supposed to be, He will say....."What did you do with my Son".
"what did you do with my Son"........
So, that is the situation.
Yet Jesus himself said:
“But I will warn you of whom you shall fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear Him.” (Luke 12:5)
And Paul said:
“…let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Jesus also said:
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
“…be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.” (2 Peter 1:10)
Be diligent @Behold
Be diligent.
You don’t understand the parables.
I think If a man spent his entire life on ONLY study of the parables, he would fare far better than any man with doctrines but no understanding of the parables.
Genesis 22:12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”God is not looking for your FEAR.
You have to be born again for any of that to matter, that you pasted.
Yes, but it is righteousness born of faith, mixed with faith. Better rightly divide those scrips you are bringing. A person must be stone deaf and blind as a mole to ignore those scriptures in Heb. 11.I'll repost this, since the truth gets washed out in carnal religious reactions...

We are talking about OT righteousness. Before Jesus came to bring the higher walk in Him, based on a new kind of faith (the faith OF Christ) there was a common righteousness among the meek and God fearing. This is something the Jews understand very well...but people who come to God based on the NT not so much...or not at all. 2 examples among many will suffice. Actually the first is repeated twice and the second 3 times.
David says...judge me according to my righteousness
Ps. 7:8 The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
Ez. 14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
I realize that you may have to study on this for some years before you understand what I'm getting at...but the bible is the bible.
I could add many verses on righteousness both from the OT and the NT...but I'm not a scripture monkey. If people ignore plain scripture when a few examples are given, they will ignore any number of verses that point to the truth. This is a hostile environment to the truth.
