What I was saying was that In order for us to be blessed by God we need to live our life the way God wants us to which means we cant commit sin like lusting after women or viewing porn. So if I were to marry a women who practices and worships God i can get way with lusting and porn becuse my wife is a good Christian women? In my hypothetical example if any thing were to happen to the husband financially because he sins then the wife also suffers because all the money the couple has comes from the husband
Of course not; it's wrong, as you strongly imply.

If you look at 1 Corinthians 7, you will see that if a spouse is converted after being married, the believing spouse can have a sanctifying effect on the other, particularly in being instrumental in leading the other to believe in the Gospel.

What I'm saying, is: it's still sin.
Your opinion counts little to God.... I do doubt there is a single person in this world that could explain to me what sin is, they all have the answer but what man believes and what God is, are two completely different things. If everyone on this earth today forgave everyone on this earth today, there would be no sin and satan would have no one to condemn.... when you understand that you will begin to see how wonderful Gods love is.

Don't listen to me particularly; read God's Holy Word and if you seek His face you may soon come under conviction of sin.

Maybe there is something at the back of Jim's mind which he has not told us...

I will "wait and see"...we get lots of people on this Site that just post silly questions , but they are not serious, something rings " Off" to me.
At the moment I am feeling he is just jerking our chain.
I could well be wrong...but I will just "watch and see" what the spirit of this threads is like and where it goes from here.

A man who walks in Christ should no feel convicted of anything, It is finished... of course if one does not believe Jesus has forgiven there sins they will always feel convicted, it is what happens when one stands in front of a judge. But if you have already being found innocent how can teh judge, judge you any other way???

Walking in the light (see, for example, John's First Epistle) should make the believer sensitive to sin and righteousness and to the need of continual dependence of the work of Christ at the Cross.

Some read the bible, yet others have stood with Christ God Word , bible fails in comparison when you stand with the one who is the truth,

Joh_5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

still happens today, so few will go near Him..

"Sanctify them through Thy truth; Thy Word is truth" (John 17.17. This was spoken by the Lord Jesus.

You are so caught up in the flesh. lest put i like this, in full context

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Rom 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Rom 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

this is where "christians" are supposed to be. but very few have the faith to believe to get there. Judged found innocent never to be judged again.

I really don't see how Romans 6 supposedly contradicts John's First Epistle...

In this situation would the husband receive gods blessing even though he doesn't live His life the way God wants him to.
Short answer: NO.

However, nothing is meant to remain static, which means that the wife has many options to ensure that there is spiritual harmony in the home, which would then lead to God's blessings. Since this is a hypothetical, options cannot be discussed meaningfully.

More to do with the fact that too many christians spend there life with there heads buried in a book, trying to figure out God and leaning on there own and everyone elses understanding when all they have to do is lookup and speak to Jesus whom is our life.

Rev_3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

so few letting Him in

Act_17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us

and He is as close as you want Him to be or as far as you need Him to be, it is all up to you.

Well, God never acts against His Word, and so feeding on it daily and obeying it is my substantial understanding of the Christian life is about.

Yes you are right, but God doesnt have to agree with the bible, that is what man has forced upon Him not His choosing.

I shall have no other Gods before me, you just raised the bible above God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as most Christians do, that makes it an Idol in the hearts and minds of men, that they bow down and worship. If God and Jesus are not first you may as well make them last, as so many do,
