You know the verses--to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Also the one that says, "and some of them that sleep in the dust of the Earth shall arise to be present with the Lord."
Now, there is this kind of whacy (whacy IMHO) that the body stays in the ground and spirit goes to be with the Lord, and then when the Lord comes back the body is somehow rejoined to the spirit? I think that one is kind of whacky.
But I mean let's say I die this year and Jesus comes back in 4010. Would I even be conscious of that 2000 years of time going by? I mean when you die, you're going to have the best sleep you've ever had in your life aren't you?
