What happens when you violate your spiritual beliefs?

And why are laws protecting beliefs important? Especially for OSAS, since God isn't leaving can you just repent and move on? Is violating your beliefs different than other sins?

You might have to fill us in on what's going down here. I want to ask, "@Marihart, what have you done?", but that sounds accusatory, and I do want to do that.

But to address the excerpted question, I'm a big advocate of repentance and trusting God to forgive us. In fact, I'm counting on it myself, since I have my own sins that need God's forgiveness. What have we got left but trust?

However, be aware that sin can extract a price from us. There are consequences.
