What Is Episkopos Really Teaching? Read His Own Words

I purchased one of @Episkopos's books. It'll be nice to read what he has to say without having amigo, lizbeth, or behold jumping all over him.

I did purchase it, and it is full of false teachings. If that is what you are looking for, then you will find it there.

It's amazing how anything deeper than a very shallow interpretation is seen as evil. I pray you will be blessed by the book.

A peer reviewer (PHD) reviewed my book and said that my bible exegesis was sound....but that my conclusions were not according to any tradition he knew of and they would be controversial.

Was Jesus not controversial? Was He executed because He towed the party line?

Being controversial does not make a man like Christ. False teachers are always controversial to actual born-again followers of Jesus Christ. The question is not whether your conclusions differ from tradition, nor whether another false teacher with a PhD found your exegesis technically sound. The question is whether your conclusions agree with the plain teaching of Scripture; they don't.

Jesus was not executed because He offered novel private interpretations. He was rejected because He testified to the truth, fulfilled the Scriptures, and exposed sin. He said, “The scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35). The apostles likewise warned that men would arise speaking “perverse things” like you are doing to draw disciples after themselves (Acts 20:30).

You keep treating correction as proof that others are shallow. That is not an answer. When your conclusions overturn or deny what Scripture plainly says, calling them “deeper” does not make them biblical it just shows you are a false teacher and you don't know what you're talking about. Peter warned that unstable people twist the Scriptures “unto their own destruction” (2 Peter 3:16).

And a reviewer’s approval does not settle truth. If he reviewed these teachings, called your exegesis sound, and accepted conclusions contrary to Scripture, then his review deserves the same biblical scrutiny. False teaching often gathers its own admirers and endorsers. “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).

Stop comparing yourself to Christ because people challenge you. You will answer for what you are doing on judgment day.

If there is anything in particular that gets the dander up in my critics....it would be wiser to challenge me on what I teach than just slander and grandstand as if some here are inquisitors. It's dishonest and ungodly to say the least.

Premise. I teach a salvation into the perfection of Christ who knew no sin...according to the truth. This is unto GLORY.

AND I also teach the mercy of God on the meek and those who work righteousness in humility and the fear of the Lord.

All the ways of God are mercy AND truth.

I also hold to the VERY controversial views that Jesus is BOTH God and man.

Your own words are the issue, and anyone who wants to see what you teach can click the links already posted. You teach a salvation into Christ’s sinless perfection and then speak of God’s mercy upon those who “work righteousness.” That is not the gospel. Christ alone “did no sin” (1 Peter 2:22), while John says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves” (1 John 1:8). Paul said he had not already been made perfect (Philippians 3:12).

God justifies the ungodly through faith, not those who have reached perfection or established themselves by works: “To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5). Good works follow salvation. They do not become a condition by which sinners obtain mercy.

I do not criticize you for believing Jesus is both God and man. Scripture plainly teaches that. You bring that up as a shield because it is orthodox, while avoiding the errors I am actually exposing.

Much of what you are saying is true, and much of what @Episkopos said is not...but so was what John Lennon said and believed. So what? God loves them both. Imagine--neither sayings whether right or wrong condemns or saves. Being wrong is not the problem--by definition--we are all wrong. But even the smallest seed of truth buried within what one believes, is enough to save.

Even so, it is indeed another matter--to teach what is wrong.

But better than calling one out, is to give your own witness or testimony. For this reason Jesus spoke of seeing the speck in our brother's eye and not the log in our own.

God’s love for sinners is not the same as God saving sinners while they reject His Son and believe a false gospel. That is the error in your reply.

“Even the smallest seed of truth” in what someone believes is not enough to save anyone. If it were, every false religion would save, because every false religion contains some fragment of truth. But Jesus said, “He that believeth not is condemned already” (John 3:18), and, “If ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins” (John 8:24). Peter said, “Neither is there salvation in any other” than Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

Being mistaken about a minor matter is one thing. Teaching that Jesus did not come to forgive sins, denying righteousness imputed apart from works, and claiming people can be saved whatever their religious belief is, is not a harmless error. It is another gospel. Paul did not say to excuse it because God loves the teacher. He said, “If any man preach any other gospel unto you... let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9).

And do not misuse Matthew 7 to silence biblical rebuke. Jesus condemned hypocritical judgment, not discernment. In the same chapter He commanded, “Beware of false prophets” and said, “Ye shall know them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:15–20). How are believers supposed to obey that command if no one may identify false teaching from a man’s own words?

I gave Scripture and direct links to Episkopos’s statements so people can test them. That is not grandstanding. That is obeying 1 John 4:1: “Try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

"So what?" wasn't the attitude to false teachers that we see in the new testament. Paul especially fought hard to keep wolves from defiling and deceiving the church.

Something else Episkopos is teaching:

"We are ALL bought with a price. Jesus purchased back the WORLD (and the church) with His own blood. That is NOT exclusive to believers.

Jesus paid for those who obey Him whether they know Him or not."

The Book of Remembrance

This is worse than a vague statement. Episkopos is directly denying the biblical gospel.

Scripture does not say all people are redeemed by Christ’s blood. It says Christ purchased a people for God “out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9). It says He “gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people” (Titus 2:14). His blood actually saves His people. It does not redeem the unbelieving world while leaving them condemned for unbelief.

Jesus said, “He that believeth not is condemned already” (John 3:18), and, “He that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:12). So the claim that Christ paid for people who obey Him “whether they know Him or not” is directly opposed to Scripture. Jesus said eternal life is knowing “the only true God, and Jesus Christ” (John 17:3).

Then he replaces salvation by faith with his own claimed heavenly experience: “Being saved now is about being translated into heaven... like I did.” That is not the gospel preached by Paul. Paul wrote, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31), and “By grace are ye saved through faith... not of works” (Ephesians 2:8–9). No apostle told sinners they needed Episkopos’s claimed experience of being translated into heaven.

Finally, Micah 7:20 is not teaching that people inherit eternal life because they are already righteous and mercy is then granted to them. It is God’s promise to fulfill His covenant mercy and truth to Abraham and Jacob. Episkopos is wrenching the verse from its context to support a salvation Scripture never teaches.

This is not deeper truth. It is a fabricated gospel: universal redemption without faith, salvation without knowing Christ, mercy earned by the righteous, and special experience substituted for the apostolic message. Paul’s warning stands: “If any man preach any other gospel unto you... let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9).

You are the one who is following your father, the father of lies. That is an empty accusation. You have quoted no sentence where I condemned Israel, because I did not.

Christ came first to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24), yet Scripture also says, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not” (John 1:11). Paul makes the matter plain: “They are not all Israel, which are of Israel” (Romans 9:6), and “at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace” (Romans 11:5).

No Jew, Gentile, or anyone else is saved while rejecting the Son. Jesus said to His own Jewish hearers, “If ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins” (John 8:24). Peter said to Israel, “Neither is there salvation in any other” (Acts 4:12).

Calling that “self-righteous error” does not erase Christ’s words. God’s love does not cancel His judgment, and His promises to Israel do not create salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:12).
