No, that idea is a doctrine of devils. Many in the Church have been duped by it, heeding men's pop teachings instead of God's Word. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 cannot mean the spiritual temple of Ephesians 2, simply because the spiritual temple cannot... be corrupted by any man. If it could, Christ's Salvation would be a joke and meaningless, and that's exactly how Christ's enemies see His Salvation, they hate it, and thus that kind of idea is easy to know it was originated by Christ's enemies, and is not a doctrine in God's Word at all.

The "temple of God" that Apostle Paul mentioned the coming false one will sit in playing God, is about a literal stone temple to be built for the coming great tribulation at the end of this world. It is the temple shown in Jerusalem in the Revelation 11 chapter when God's two witnesses come to prophesy against the beast during the tribulation.

The Daniel prophecy and our Lord Jesus' quote from the Book of Daniel about the "abomination of desolation" involves a standing Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Since the Roman army in 70 A.D. destroyed Jerusalem and the 2nd temple, there has never been another one built there, to this day. So for the "abomination of desolation" prophecy to manifest, which involves a false one coming to end on-going sacrifices, and instead place an idol abomination in the temple for worship, that means we may expect another one to be built in Jerusalem, for the end.

Just so happens, the orthodox unbelieving Jews in Jerusalem today already have all the materials ready to build it. They even have the temple artifacts for temple worship prepared, and some of them on display.

Well I was thinking of scripture myself.

Jn 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

I believe the AoD was complete in 70 ad the daily sacrifice ceased fulfilling the prophecy, and Luke is also very accurate,
Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

that all happened in 70 ad.

and Jesus claimed it to be already desolate!

Matt 24:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

    Their house is the temple.

    Yes.
During this Church age, we Christians are the Spiritual Temple of God.
But this truth does not preclude another physical Temple being built. Many prophesies say there will be a Temple in Jerusalem; the Anti-Christ stops worship in it, Daniel 11:31 and sits in the holy place; 2 Thess 2:4.
Jesus will Return to it and will reign for the next 1000 years from it. After the Millennium, in the New Heavens and the New Earth, there will be no Temple. Revelation 21:22 [this would not be mentioned if there was no Temple just prior to Eternity]
The prophesies about the new Temple make it clear that the Jews will not built it. Zechariah 6:15, Isaiah 56:1-8
If anyone attempted it under todays situation, a war would erupt. Things will be very different after the Sixth Seal event. Zephaniah 1:1-18, Revelation 6:12-17

I don't believe that, simply because to think that the spiritual temple of Ephesians 2 can be corrupted by the "man of sin", is to say that the foundation there can be corrupted.

And just what is that foundation per the Scripture?:

    Eph 2:19-22
    19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

    20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone;

21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
    KJV

If you mean the orthodox Jews in Jerusalem will have to wait until the Antichrist shows up to build it, then yes I agree. They are expecting Zechariah 6:12-13 to be fulfilled by Messiah.

It’s not only spiritual and invisible but also physical and visible the holy church founded by Christ on Peter, the apostles, and their successors! Matt 16:18

    Romans 12:5
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Well, the spiritual temple doesn't apply in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, period. It's insane to try and slap a spiritual temple connotation on the "man of sin" coming to sit in the "temple of God" to mean over Christ and His Church. And that is the very point Apostle Paul is making there, that a false one is coming to play God in that temple in Jerusalem, which has to be a physical stone temple.

It can’t be the church founded by Christ? The mystical body of Christ?

Wow. -- So many DIFFERENT responses to such a simple question. One has to wonder if ALL Christians are as confused.

1 Cor. 6: 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

I can't believe someone would ask such a basic question, and NOBODY gives the correct answer.

1 Corinthians 3:9-17 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. [10] According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. [11] For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; [13] Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. [14] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15] If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. [16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

‘if any man defile the temple of God’ which temple you are ...what does that mean to you then?

What do these verses refer to?

    Isaiah 2:2

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

    Daniel 2:44

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Lk 1:33 His kingdom shall have no end!

The Jews, excepting for a small remnant of Christian Jewish people, will all be gone after the soon to happen Lord's Day of fiery wrath. Ezekiel 21:1-8, Romans 9:27, +
No, because the prophesies are quite clear about a new Temple in Jerusalem; before and during the Millennium.
As you quoted in Isaiah 2:2.

    To All,

This statement is misleading. It's like saying: TWENTY YEARS after their birth all the children will be GONE!

Well, yeah, -- BECAUSE THEY'LL BE ADULTS. Sometimes I wonder if "Democrat-think" pervades people's brains.

The TRUTH IS, when Jesus returns THEY'LL RECOGNIZE HIM AS THEIR SAVIOR, and become CHRISTIAN JEWS! -- ALL OF THEM.

Now this isn't to say that ALL MANKIND will accept Jesus as their Savior, -- some may have a RELIGIOUS heritage but don't follow their family traditions, and others may have never had ANY such "family-traditions" and EACH OF THESE can either choose to Worship Jesus or not. But in either case, satan will not be around to tempt them to sin, although they may choose to:

Isaiah 65:20 No more shall there be in it
an infant that lives but a few days,
or an old man who does not fill out his days,
for the child shall die a hundred years old,
and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed.

But if ANYONE takes the Mark-of-the-Beast, he/she WILL NOT enter the Millennial Kingdom, -- no matter what Religious or Non-Religious affiliation they may or may not have had.

There is no 3rd temple. The book of Hebrews makes it clear that the Law of Moses and the Old Covenant are antiquated and replaced with the Covenant of Christ, which is eternal. To go back to temporal things and to temporary forgiveness is absurd. Why go from eternal life to the place where men were disqualified from the Tree of Life?

The final temple, in the book of Revelation, is Jesus himself, dwelling within the temple of his people, the Church.
