Of course the best book is the Bible. I have read a lot of good books that help me understand it, but there are so many I can't pick out any one as the best. Some spiritual books are dangerous because the spirit behind them is not the Holy Spirit.

Good question!

I think my top three would be:

1. A Divine Revelation Of Hell, Mary K. Baxter
2. He Came To Set The Captives Free, Rebecca Brown
3. The Harvest, Rick Joyner

Way too many other notables to list, but that's probably the three that effected me the most.

Besides the Bible, most, like the second one you posted, is evil - and is not allowing truth, nor is any part of good, let alone "best" of anything - it is a sin towards death.
Most available history books are so full of lies - oh, they are 'spiritual' with the evil world's spirits... yes....

What about The Final Quest? I really loved that book...even though it is fictional it opened my eyes to how blind Christians are to the enemy amongst them causing strife and division.

In truth, not in fiction,
the false teachers and groups claiming peace when there is no peace is already far far worse.... (than their supposed doing anything to expose or stop or prevent the so-called 'strife and division' .. ).
Jesus Himself agrees that Jesus Himself does not come to bring peace, but a sword, "TO DIVIDE",
to separate, to make holy (set apart),
in the Father's Plan, for Himself, what is holy, Himself, a people for Himself, DIVIDED from the false religious and society of the world everywhere, out of every people, out of every nation.

But the divide is the saints from the world not the brothers and sisters who are the body of Christ....IMHO.

Jesus divides from all that is false - including so-called 'brothers and sisters' in organized official and in unorganized unofficial religious meetings, groups, creeds, etc. (where carnal man and false teachings exist together with those Jesus comes to separate unto Himself by the Father's Plan and Purpose) .
That's one reason Jesus told all the disciples that they must leave everything to follow Him.

Final Quest, too. And The Call, and The Heavens Opened, and The Priestly Bride. There's so many powerful works that the Spirit of God has given to the church that I really could never list them all. I just chose The Harvest because it declared a number of things prophetically that were straight to the heart of what will be taking place in the end-times, and also made a few references to my own part in it that greatly encouraged me.
