this is a good topic, may as well put my two cent worth in it also. not saying that anyone is right or wrong, but something to consider.
we all was created at the beginning, (yes, maybe to some dismay, 101G was there also...

), but was brought forth in his (God), appointed time or order. as the woman was in the man and later brought forth.
and in this order, Time and what we do in this time is controlled by God, but he allow us limited will of control. meaning in an example, look at time as a river. yes, a river, has many branches or streams running off of it, but those ways that seem right to a man is not God's way and those way lead to DEATH, Proverbs 14:12. understand, man has a will to chose, but also God has a will, God's Perfect Will and His Permissive Will. so God's perfect will is for us to stay in the river per say. now if you chose to go up the creek ...... without a paddle........
that's on you. but I want to get to the Permissive Will of God.
his Perfect will is that all men, (male, and females) be saved, see 1 Timothy 2:4.
the term Permissive: means,
allowing or characterized by great or
excessive freedom of behavior.
scripture, Jeremiah 14:11 "Then said the LORD unto me,
Pray not for this people for their good.
(this shock me to my core, because God orderd the prophet not to "PRAY"...
for their good, so no one prays for another’s bad? do they. so by telling the prophet not to pray for the people good, that open my eyes to the fact that events and time can be change and are not fixed. for we know that "Prayer"
changes thing. and if Jeremiah would have prayed for the good of the people, God would have heard Jeremiah prayer and would have relented. so knowing that prayer changes things, as well as time, things, (time and events), can be altered, but on a limited bases. for if Jeremiah would have prayed, then God would have waited us out. He can do that, because he has all the time in the world. (smile).
Now God’s Permissive will in our freedom to act. let me explain. what alerted me to this fact was, Scripture,
1 Kings 3:5 "In Gibeon
the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and
God said, Ask what I shall give thee. (STOP, notice what is happening).
1 Kings 3:6 "And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
1 Kings 3:7 "And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
1 Kings 3:8 "And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
1 Kings 3:9 "
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
1 Kings 3:10 "
And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. (OK, STOP, Hold the press. Did God know what was on Solomon heart? ...... By asking, God’s Permissive will, allowed Solomon to change events, or times.
For God asked him and not the other way around. The next verses explain this.
1 Kings 3:11 "And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
1 Kings 3:12 "
Behold, I have done according to thy words (ONE NEED TO READ THAT AGAIN), lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
1 Kings 3:13 "And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
I’m reminded of this event, here, when my Parents asked me something, and the answer I gave them pleased them, for they admitted that they was not looking for that answer, and gave me more than I asked for.
Let me tell you, children, and grandchildren will say things that you was not expecting and was pleasantly surprise at what they said. For you was not expecting it that way.
So, we’re in the middle of the river, God’s “perfect” will, and he allows us to change, (that’s what pray is for, to change things), his will allow us to change some things. For the biggest word in the bible to support this is the word “if” which is a conditional word. If you will hear my voice….. “if” let me know things can be change, unless as with Jeremiah in 14:11.
Not saying that anyone is right or wrong, but here’s something to consider. As any well laid plans of any parent, sometime it just don’t happen as plan (the perfect will). as said, “if”..... we change anything God can always wait us out, just ask the rebellious one who dropped in the wilderness for 40 years. As with us today, every parent wants the best for their child.
So overall God is in total control, (stay in the river), but he has the right and the power over his clay. for God's "PERFECT" will is for all to be saved, 1 Timothy 2:4 "Who
will have all men
to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth". there's that "PERFECT" will.
These are just a few example, something to think about. again, not saying any is right or wrong, for God can do anything he wants.
