There are far more important areas of life to be concerned with than this foolish issue. I will not spend any more time on it. We do not agree, we will see.

Wow, this thread has sparked a lot of interest...Personally i do think this is an important issue. The way i looked at it before posting this question was, did God create animals that are going to be in heaven? I can't see how animals are equals in humans eyes, but in the eyes of God? ... i don't know...
The facts are there are animals in heaven.undisputedAnimals not having been given free will but rather being subject to laws of Nature. Are not required to choose to follow Christ to get to heaven.God states to be absent from the body is to be present with the lordSense the Bible is about man and his salvation we are not told all the laws and rules of nature and lower forms of life.Therefore there is nothing here to debate those of us that love our animals have no doubt they go to heaven we know our loving Father knowing our hearts will reunite us with them.Those that are not animal lovers can doubt this all they wantThere is no scripture to prove it one way or the other only what God puts upon our heart.with that I agree with Tom its time to end this as it is an argument of conjecture and opinions

It sure has. I don't get people that want to debunk the belief that a person's pet doesn't go to heaven. Maybe they think heaven is not big enough or God just can't do it.Maybe they are thinking that for a person to love a pet instead of helping down at some food shelf, that the animal lover is really selfish. I call that pretty judgemental and since God is nicer, kinder and more fair and loving then most people, I'll take my chances with God's way of doing things.What would a lot of lonely people do without their pet companions?What would people do without working dogs? ( seeing eye dogs, bomb sniffing dogs for instance )

Wow, what an interesting discussion.Fox, your substitution with the word "Atheists" put it in good perspective. We certainly can't decide the answer on this just because pets are loving. As you said in the quote, atheists can be loving, too, but that doesn't mean they'll show up in heaven! You have to receive the gift of salvation first, and while pets can't do that, maybe God will find favor in some??? I've had pets all my life and know what a comfort they are, how they have made me feel better when I'm feeling down. How nice they can be to have around.I've also had a pet who I swore was demon-possessed! That cat attacked me once and scratched my face up! And she was my PET!!!So, if someone were to ask me if their pet was going to heaven, I'd have to honestly say, "I'm not sure, but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised to see them when we get there." (And then I'd make sure the person I was talking with was going there, too!) But I certainly can't claim to know for sure.However, even if I said, "Yes, your pet will go to heaven," I doubt that when that person died and got to heaven themselves, the first thing they'd do is go look for their pet. Ya' think?? I'd take one look at God and say, "What pet?"
I believe that animals only have souls that animate their flesh, whereas man has a spirit which makes him complete in the likeness of the Creator. So when an animal dies the soul dies as does the flesh, but man continues to live as a spirit, and thereby can be reconstituted to his flesh at the ressurrection. Also, there are many servants who have revealed that the soul can die, but nothing is written that suggests the spirit can succumb to a similar fate. The difference between the dying soul and the ressurrection of all man flesh is still a mystery, and it must be noted that nothing has been revealed that any other flesh but the flesh of man will be ressurrected. But we will see when the time comes.

Unfortunately, servant, flesh and blood can not enter the Kingdom. There will be no more flesh, we will have Spirit bodies

I would have to admit I'm not sure if animals go to Heaven but I'm fairly certain they dont go to hell.

While some of the scripture posted here is in favor of that being true, it doesn't CLEARLY say that animals go to heaven like it talks about humans. I'm certain there will be animals in heaven and it's nice to think one will be reunited with a loved pet but I just don't think it will be quite that way.

At first i would like to tell everyone i am muslim and proud to be a muslim and please do not be racsit becuase i am not just simply its just as Discussion Forums! so my post and life after death!Life after DeathAlthough people are inclined to forgetfulness and sin, Islam affirms an overall positive view of man - who has been created as God's representative on earth - and teaches that faith and appreciation of goodness is inherent to human nature. Furthermore, children are born in a state of purity and do not 'inherit' sin. Life's test is to do one's best and to resist evil in the world and within oneself, so that one can stand before Allah with a clean heart on the Day of Judgement. Those who are successful will be rewarded in Paradise, but those who have neglected their souls will be doomed to Hell. Each individual is responsible for his own actions, and cannot rely on the goodness of others to absolve him of his sins. Although in the end, no one can attain salvation except by Allah's grace, the normal prerequisites will be faith accompanied by good works that, together, weigh heavier in the balance than the wrong that one has done. Reward will be granted in proportion to effort. Paradise is a place of physical and spiritual beauty and perfection, where people will have their hearts' desires and will be blessed with the vision of Allah Most High.
Mr_save, no one here is a racist, but that doesn't mean every Joe who wants to can come on here and attempt to force his/her religion on the members. This is a Christian forum, not a forum to discuss the merits of Islam. I'd appreciate it if you respect that and us.
