If you're not prepared to murder somebody due to the golden rule, how can you be prepared to torture somebody for eternity?

Can someone who's found Jesus please ask him for me.
There is no eternal conscious torment. That is a doctrine meant to scare people into conforming to the church hierarchy. But the truth is fearsome enough. The wicked are killed outright in the lake of fire...this is the second death.

The eternal judgment of being separated from God is based on God's own house. Eternal darkness awaits those who sully God's name by preaching lies and working for the devil who divides God's people into factions. Because of these God is blasphemed among the nations.

The ones who love and are merciful will be shown mercy and inherit life among the nations.

And the saints will rule over them.

He believes “Paul invented the concept of eternal torture.” Paul is a stumbling block for him.
Although he didn't use the words Gehenna or Hades, some theologians argue that Paul's descriptions of "wrath", "vengeance," and being shut out from the presence of God effectively describe the same ultimate reality of damnation and conscious punishment, even if he used different vocabulary.

Jesus used the word Gehenna, Paul took it a step further.

Paul didn't know Jesus, correct me if I'm wrong but there's no evidence that their paths crossed in Jesus' lifetime.
Paul only saw Jesus after his death in a vision and became a self proclaimed apostle.

Jesus and Paul are in agreement. If the Church of England didn’t teach you that then the Church of England was derelict.

Paul wasn’t a self-proclaimed apostle. He was accepted as an apostle by the other apostles.

Those theologians are wrong.

What is everlasting destruction?
Doesn't sound like an abrupt end to me...

I've been told that Paul meant eternal punishment by some Christians and meant a second death by others....
Which is it?
It's quite hard to make the distinction from Colossians.
