That's a good point. Biden has got early signs of dementia hasnt he?
So, does the public elect the VP as well or does the party elect the VP? When is that happening?
And who do u think will get elected as VP?

They are already in our not-to-distant past. Remember this republican ad?

A deranged fool took the crosshairs seriously and shot Gabrielle Giffords, one of the targets on that map. She survived, but suffered massive brain injury.

And now, Mitch McConnell is playing the same card...

It's the "memes" in the post above that we need to be concerned about. Trump may be vicious when angered, but he'd wet his pants if he was exposed to real violence. As you see, his followers are another story. And as you might remember candidate Donald Trump got a visit from the Secret Service when he suggested that the "2nd Amendment People" might be able to do something to stop Hillary Clinton if she got elected.

He's got a history, even if he thinks it's just to work up the crowds, some people take it seriously.

Not even the most blatant voter suppression would do that for him.

I was just looking at a map of where the cases are continuing to rise. They seem to be rising the most in Southern states. Then a band of states above them have cases going down; and up towards Canada more states where they're rising. It doesn't seem to be the weather then. I noted that many of the states with rising cases are either Republican or swing states.

The American healthcare system is in a shambles. No one knows who is responsible for what. When things go wrong, the governors of the states try to blame the federal govenment and Trump blames the governors. On one hand, the states are supposed to make sure their hospitals are adequately supplied; but when they aren't, they blame Trump for it.

The visit to Michigan shocked me a little. Trump was there trying to take credit for getting more ventilators made and putting auto workers back to work. He chose to visit a factory with union workers, and my guess is most of them are Democrats who don't like him that much to begin with. Meanwhile a huge flood had hit the town of Midland. He was doing nothing about that disaster. No, he was trying to get on TV to make himself look good.

He had also threatened to cut off funds to Michigan. How would you feel if your home had flooded and you heard that? His campaign obviously didn't tell him it might be better to visit Midland, or he ignored their advice if they did. And guess what: Midland is sitting in the middle of a Congressional district that voted for Trump big time and that elects Republicans. That district may continue to vote Republican; but I feel sure some voters will defect and vote for Biden this time.

Our government is seriously broken. One of the two dams that broke was known to be in need of repairs for years. They should have also have been inspected regularly. They weren't. If they had been inspected and failed their inspections, the government has the authority to tell them to reduce the water level. That way they're less apt to break under the increased pressure of high water levels; and if they do break, there's less way to flood.

Let's get serious. Lives are at stake. President Trump talked about improving infrastructure when he campaigned four years ago. Nothing has been done.

More dams will collapse as aging infrastructure can't keep up with climate change

The 91,000 dams in the U.S. earned a “D” for safety in a 2017 report from the American Society of Civil Engineers. The ASCE estimated the cost of fixing up the dams whose failure would threaten lives at roughly $45 billion, and the cost of fixing all aging dams at over $64 billion.

In Michigan, which is under a state of emergency after the two dam breaches, the average age of the state’s total 1,059 dams is 74 years old, older than the typical 50-year designed life span. Just over 170 of those dams are labeled as high hazard potential — meaning a collapse will result in a loss of life.

If Biden visits Michigan and talks about the need for regular inspections and repairs, he'll win a lot of votes in Midland, I can guarantee.

Regarding the two dams that broke on Tuesday, the Edenville Dam that was built in 1924 was rated in unsatisfactory condition in 2018 by the state. And the Sanford Dam that was built a year later was rated in fair condition.

Federal regulators since 2014 were warning the Edenville Dam’s owner, Boyce Hydro Power, that the dam could not handle a “probable” heavy flooding event. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission eventually revoked the dam’s license in 2018 due to a failure to increase the dam’s spillway capacity to safely allow flood water to pass through.

The commission on Wednesday ordered the company, which also owns Sanford Dam, to investigate the Michigan dam failures. The last inspections of the two dams were done in June 2018.

“There must be investigations to understand what measures need to be taken to fix the dams,” Baroud said.

Regular inspections of the dams could have provided warning signs of maintenance and upkeep that needed to be completed to avoid a failure, according to Baroud.

“If it costs a lot of money and you can’t fix it now, the dam should be operated at a lower than normal level to provide a buffer to allow for a great influx of water during heavy precipitation,” she said.

I'm sure most of us have heard about the reality of our brains being in two halves of a left part and a right part.
As a result, people who are "left handed" are predominantly using the right part of their brain, and people who are "right handed", are predominantly using the left part of their brain.
Shall we now conclude that people who are "left handed" are in their RIGHT mind, whereas all right handed people are not? LOL!

I think that analogy perfectly describes the Rep. and Dem. parties of our form of government, and maybe its time to vote for a candidate who is "ambidexterous"!!
Maybe finally, we will vote a president who is fully functional.

But then again, maybe not! It could be THAT IS WHAT we have now.
    From Wikipedia:
"The term ambidexter in English was originally used in a legal sense of jurors who accepted bribes from both parties for their verdict.[5]"

There's a lot of misinformation about this, floating around. But you are correct that right-handed people have a dominant left hemisphere. Left-handed people tend to have a more dominant right hemisphere, but not to the degree that right-handed people have a dominant side. Lefties (full disclosure: I am a lefty) tend to be less conventional than average, but it's not clear whether this is due to socialization as "different", or because they are more likely to use both sides of the brain at one time. A lefty will usually have a larger corpus callosum, the structure by which the two hemispheres communicate.

And in school, lefties are much more commonly found in gifted and talented classes than their numbers in the population suggest. That could just be because they've been socialized to see themselves as different and have learned to fly their own way. I remember reading a report from the 50s where a psychologist, studying lefties, was clearly unhappy with their perceived lack of cooperation in the study, and concluded that they were just indifferent to cooperating with everyone else. Maybe so. I suspect that more lefties are libertarians than their numbers would indicate. (Yehren checks) No one seems to know. But 4 of our last seven presidents have been lefties.

    Which Presidents Were Left Handed?

    8 presidents were left handed:

    • Barack Obama
    • James Garfield
    • Herbert Hoover
    • Harry Truman
    • Gerald Ford
    • Ronald Reagan
    • George H.W. Bush
    • Bill Clinton
How many U.S. presidents were left-handed?

Four of those were better than average; four of them less than average. Obama, Truman, Reagan, and Clinton are generally rated by historians as above average. Supposedly, Garfield was a good example of whole-brain dominance of lefties. He could supposedly write in Latin with one hand, and simultaneously write in Greek with the other.

You have something there. A president with a complete set of management tools, so to speak. I'd be happy if we could just get another president who didn't see the other party as the enemy, and could work with people, even those with whom he greatly disagreed. This is one reason to vote for Biden; he has governed in that mindset before, and likely would again.

    Agreed.

:D The classic case of "two wrongs don't make a right."

For this time around, it doesn't matter what the people want, but rather what the globalists want.
The whole global economic paradigm is about to change.

Should Biden win the Presidency, and then be found incapable to continue, then as Biden himself said: "the VP must be able to become President on day one".
The globalists do not want someone who is green, and just starting to learn the ropes, especially with a new economic system coming on the scene.

If enough of them vote in the democrat primaries, perhaps. But then they would be the people, wouldn't they?

Notice that it hasn't made a difference when Trump began his cognitive decline. Far as I can see, he's still calling the shots, even if he's declined to the point that he thinks it's a good idea to inject yourself with disinfectant.

Judging by Trump's approval ratings, it looks like the American people feel the same way.

First we read that Michael Cohen was going to be granted early release because of the coronavirus. Then we read he wasn't. Now it's back to him being released.

5/20/2020 Michael Cohen to be released Thursday and will serve remaining prison sentence at home - CNNPolitics

Cohen had anticipated being released earlier this month but his release was delayed as the agency's conditions for early release amid the pandemic were narrowed. The Bureau of Prisons at first released guidelines that called for prisoners to have served at least half of their sentence to be considered for potential release. But days later, BOP reversed that guidance, saying they would prioritize inmates for release who had served more than 50% of their sentence or have served 25% of their sentence with less than 18 months left, without making it a hard-and-fast requirement, according to an internal memo obtained by CNN.

Still, Trump had been irked by reports that Cohen was going to be released early due to the pandemic, multiple people familiar with the President's thinking previously told CNN.

Will there be time to get that book written by September or October?

And Cohen, who is working on a tell-all book about his time working with Trump, has been served a cease and desist letter from Charles Harder, an attorney for the Trump Organization, requesting he stop working on the book, according to two sources.

Among the reasons cited by Harder, they say, is writing the book would violate a confidentiality agreement and a lawyer's ethical and legal obligations, such as attorney-client privilege.

A friend of Cohen said in early May nothing in the book would be in violation of legal ethics.

May 3, 2020 Trump's lawyers have reportedly demanded that Michael Cohen stop writing a 'tell-all' book about the president

A friend of Cohen told the Daily Beast: "A lot of [the book] will be about looking at things he's said and done with women and other [politically incorrect] things. It'll be an insider's look about what it was like to be alongside the president for 12 years."

The friend added that it would not break lawyer-client privilege.

Its not about the ratings or the voters!
Haven't you noticed that the world has gone global? If not, then the coming new economic paradigm, will bring it to your attention on a very personal level.

In the U.S. it's about voters. And the ratings are useful only in assessing what the voters think.

No one really thinks Hillary Clinton is going to be VP. And a new economic paradigm won't make a difference.
