‘They’d call me Beijing Barry’: Obama mocks Trump for Chinese bank account

Even Fox News covered that Chinese bank account. . . .

Trump has bank account in China, pursued hotel deals for a decade: Report

President Trump has maintained a bank account in China for years while pursuing hotel deals and other business projects in the region, according to a report Wednesday.

The bank account is held by Trump International Hotels Management LLC and paid $188,561 in taxes in China from 2013 to 2015, the New York Times reported, citing an analysis of the president’s tax records. China, Britain and Ireland are the only countries outside the United States where Trump maintains a bank account.

Trump Organization attorney Alan Garten told the Times the bank account was opened for the purpose of paying local taxes as the company attempted “to explore the potential for hotel deals in Asia.” It’s unclear which Chinese bank holds the account.

To surprise you, I somehow feel Trump might win. Whether we like it or not, I just hope God humbles him and changes his rough New Yorker ways, and the way he talks to certain people.

I also hope there is some sort of gun law reform, too many are dying in the USA, and the death rate can be reduced way more.

As I said it before, I will say it again, being against gun violence is a pro-life position.

There is no need for civilians to have military grade weapons. There is no record of the original apostles responding with violence in the NT, a part from Peter slashing the high priest's servant's ear off when Jesus was arrested, Jesus disapproved of his action, and then went on to heal the ear.

This is probably a reason why Christians from other countries sometimes frown at America's gun laws, because in a way it's based of an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

We have a Charismatic Christian Prime Minister and he is not even for a 2nd amendment in Australia.

Well what I said about weapon violence is a fact, find one other part in the NT where an original apostle responded with physical violence towards another?

It depends on where you get your "facts."

You would have to understand the American Revolution before passing judgment on the Second Amendment, but I seriously doubt that you spent a whole lot of time in your Australian school studying this portion of U.S. history.

Well why does it forget about turning the other cheek?

You still cannot provide an example in the NT where an apostle used a weapon to defend themselves from persecution.

So how is the Second Amendment a Christian Amendment?

Tell ya what, I'll answer your questions with some questions.

Does your local police department use guns to protect the citizens of your community?

Does Australia have an army that uses weapons to protect your country from foreign invaders?

Yes, but only as a last resort, the police prefer and I believe are encouraged to use capsicum spray and tasers instead of guns to wound or kill here in Australia. And I was talking about civilians and not the army and police force and there are ways to resolve matters without physical violence.

Why are you afraid of foreign invaders though?

Now, don't take the ball and run with it. I'm going somewhere with this.

As a Christian I'm for settling disputes in a nonviolent way. I believe that we are to turn the other cheek....

However, as a friend of mine says, we pacifists rely on law enforcement and military who use weapons to protect us. I have known various military people who have grappled with this dilemma. Was Jesus addressing communities and nations when He said to turn the other cheek, or was He talking to individuals?

America's Founding Fathers chose to fight England in order to create an independent and free nation. Being under British rule wasn't working for many colonists. For instance, they felt that they were being taxed, but not represented in Parliament. You've probably heard the rallying cry "No Taxation without Representation." Some examples of laws that colonists considered unfair were the Quartering Act, the Stamp Act, the Intolerable Acts, etc.

The colonists who revolted relied on local militias to fight the British. After the war, when the Constitution and Bill of Rights were being drafted, the Founders recognized the need for armed citizenry militias to maintain their independence as a nation. Essentially, this was a standing army for that period of our history.

Even though the U.S. now has a professional military to protect us from invasion, many citizens see the need to be able to protect themselves and their property. Also, some Americans see an armed citizenry as a deterrent to dictatorial takeover. So, they see the Second Amendment as still being crucial.

Now, I know that you disagree with the reasons for citizens having guns...but I've explained how many Americans see this. I don't see any reason to argue about it. It is what it is. Since it sounds like you're against citizens possessing guns, I guess it's good that you don't live in America.

I believe what is written in the NT still applies to all Christians today, but thanks for your response
Right, and I gave my personal view that as individuals we are to do what Jesus said--turn the other cheek....

So...I guess you missed that part of my comment. :(

Nope I didn't miss it. ;)

I am glad you hold that view, because it's what Jesus taught. :)

This point of view does risk another JFK style shooting though.
Actually, it doesn't. JFK is dead. :(

BTW, I'm done with this discussion. Maybe you can rope some other American into a discussion about guns....

Have a good day! :)

... Money Laundering; Tax Evasion; and Failure to Register as a Foreign Agent; ... plus it appears Child Porn and Statutory Rape may be included.

Yeah, I'd vote for Joe, -- or possibly his SON who is MORE HONEST and has fewer "intimate" predilections ...

And to top it off, according to an investigator of the Hard Drive copy turned over to Giuliani, a Biden LAWYER contacted them and requested that the Hard Drive be returned.

-- I'm reminded of a news story back in the mid-70's where some San Francisco based MAFIA had killed some guy, stuffed him in the trunk of a Cadillac, got lost trying to cross the Golden Gate Bridge, and then stopped by the Police where they discovered the dead body. ... And the newspaper made fun of the inept MAFIA guys! :D
