Well I too am a deep fan of the Pauline epistles. but you write as to make it seem the rest of Scripture is inferior. While the OT does not have the same value as the NT for our lives, it does give invaluable insight for us a followers of Jesus.

BTW the passages you cited have nothing to do with your argument favoring Paul.
Hello @Ronald Nolette,

I am glad that you value the word of God, including the written ministrations of Paul in the epistles.

... 'but you write as to make it seem the rest of Scripture is inferior'

No, Ronald, in regard to the word of God I can assure you that that is not the case: I value every jot and tittle. Regarding the verses I have quoted, I did so, because to me they did have relevance, not in regard to favouring Paul, as you say, for that was not my intention, but in regard to what I wanted to impart.
Paul was an 'apostle': one who was sent by the ascended Lord to minister in His name, and Paul represented His Lord in that capacity, and not himself, I am sure you will agree.

May God's will be done in each one of us, for His name and glory's sake.

'Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us,
and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God
for a sweetsmelling savour.'

(Eph 5:1-2)

Hello @Doug and Co.,

* The words, 'sweetsmelling savour' is found in scripture only in connection with 'rest' and 'acquiescence', (meaning to agree with what someone wants). The sacrifice to God, by the Lord Jesus Christ, of His Own Self, as an offering for sin, brought rest and acquiescence to & from God the Father in relation to those who are indeed followers of God, in Christ Jesus their Lord and Saviour: For He was fulfilling God's Own will.

* In Christ Jesus we are followers of God, as Paul himself was.

Praise His Holy Name!

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
